Rachel Keller in South Africa. Living, Learning, Loving. My Heart Breaks Part 2. When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. ‘Where have you laid him? He asked. ‘Come and see, Lord,’ they replied. Jesus wept. Then the Jews said, ‘See how he loved him! This particular camp has about 3,000 homes, and it’s not the biggest one. Rachel Keller in South Africa. Living, Learning, Loving. Four weeks…here I am stuck in the middle. The good-byes really started almost 5 weeks ago, when I went to my last cell group meeting and gave my goodbyes to a group of stunning young adults who became one of my communities for the last 5 months of South Africa. Four weeks ago today (after over 24 hours of travel with an 8 hour layover! I arrived to two very tearful eyed and smiling parents who welcomed me into their open embraces. 2 hours later...

My last blog in South Africa | Rachel Keller in South Africa

https://rachelinsouthafrica.wordpress.com/2011/02/26/my-last-blog-in-south-africa

Rachel Keller in South Africa. Living, Learning, Loving. My last blog in South Africa. I sit here in our lounge amidst clothes drying on the rack, blankets stacked up to be donated, and dishes and food that has been sorted and piled high on the counters in bags to be given to friends. It’s hard to believe this moment has come – after 16 months of living in South Africa, it is now time for me to go back to the United States. See you on the other side of the Atlantic. Cheers! Date : February 26, 2011.

Wandering Mouse: BAAAAABBBBBYYYYY!!!!!!11!!!!!1!!!!1!!!

http://amandameetsnola.blogspot.com/2010/05/baaaaabbbbbyyyyy1111.html

Musings from a US-2 in New Orleans. Monday, May 10, 2010. MEET THE NEWEST RESIDENT OF HAGAR'S HOUSE! He and his mommy are doing just fine! Hopefully they'll be coming home in the next few days. After a very scary pregnancy, birth went pretty well! He's a month premature and probably the tiniest baby I've ever seen. (Don't be nervous about that, my exposure to babies has been.um.zero.). Labels: ded from teh cute. May 10, 2010 at 8:33 PM. May 10, 2010 at 8:39 PM. May 11, 2010 at 3:07 AM. Life ebbs and flows.

Musings from a US-2 in New Orleans. Monday, June 21, 2010. At least we've only been in exile 40 days, not 40 years. I know it has been awhile. Believe me when I say, with absolute certainty, there is a very good reason for it. Basically- Monty Python started directing my life, so things don't make too much sense anymore. FOR EXAMPLE: Do you know what I have been thinking about a lot lately? LET ME SHOW YA SOMETHIN! But alas, those days of careless bliss could not last forever. APPARENTLY, the plan that w...

Wandering Mouse: February 2010

Musings from a US-2 in New Orleans. Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Lessons from my first Mardi Gras. 1) When feeling ill, "Maybe going to a bar to watch the Superbowl will settle my stomach" is NOT a sound logic sequence. 2) No one in New Orleans will EVER get tired of the "Who Dat? 3) Turning a bicycle into a fish is not QUITE as difficult as it seems. 4) Said Fishbike does not appreciate being left out in the rain. 7) You do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, have to flash any body part to get beads. SAN FRAN, What?

Finding Shade: Justice for Our Neighbors: June 2012

http://hannahatshade.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Justice For Our Neighbors. Get Involved where you live! A "Good" Bye to JFON. However, the main emotion I feel today is a combination of excitement and joy I cannot fully describe. A few hours ago we found out President Obama will make an announcement today outlining “deferred action” for DREAMers. This will STOP deportations of DREAMers and provide eligibility for work authorization! I want to thank each of you! Lina, our immigration attorney and Marilyn will work with our volunteers and JFON board to k...

Stepping Out | reflections on a journey in Seattle

Reflections on a journey in Seattle. June 15, 2012. The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. Sometimes at Mary’s Place I find sadness. But other times, and thankfully most times, I see happiness. Like a couple months ago, when I saw sisters rejoice together when someone got keys to their own apartment. The next day, she exclaimed how she had slept better than she had in years. 8220;Don’t stop thinking about tomorrow. C’mon – you can sing alongtoo! All of us have dreams. ...

Rachel Interiors -

Miro Apartments Model Bedroom – Santa Fe Springs, CA. July 27, 2015. I loved how this bedroom came together for a model unit at Miro Apartments in Sante Fe Springs, California! The colors photographed so well as did the mixtures of textures: mid-century wooden desk, reclaimed wood dresser and nightstands, upholstered bed, linen and cotton bedding, tweed side chair, kilim wool rug. It was a big hit via social media, and the clients were pleased, which is most important! All items pictured are from west elm.
