Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Read my post first for pics to make sense. Kevin Sr and Kevin Jr, couple hrs old. So when we were at my mom's house for New Years Eve, we were playing this cool card game called "Pounce". My dad was keeping score and was asking everyone their team names. My little brother (who was married in Feb 08 and is expecting his first baby in Apr 09) looks over at his teammate, his wife, and says: "the BABYMAKERS! With someone 24/7, I'd hafta want. Fascinating to do with me! Subscribe to...

Sunday, March 1, 2009. Today is my dad's birthday. He is 64 years old today. He is such a great example to me of a good father and husband. He always puts my mom first and when we were young and sassing my mom, he was very quick to say "Don't talk to your mother like that! D ad doing dishes while overlooking his estate =). Me and my Dad - Nov 1971. My brother Gregg, me, and Dad - 1971 in Yuma, Az. He got a basketball scholarship to SUSC and and went there after his mission to Canada. He still plays c...

Serenity Now: Celebrating Baby Steps

Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed and frustrated when my kids make the same mistakes over and over again. I wonder if the things I am teaching are even getting through. But as I talked with Brett last night over the events of the last few days and things I was feeling frustrated over, he reminded me about the "cupcake incident". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Our foster daughter left us June 10, 2011 but is still in our hearts. My 11 year old loves to tell others what to do but ...

Life as I see It. Tuesday, April 12, 2011. I Love BYU Sports! Growing up my family had Season tickets to BYU Football. Of all my sisters I loved to go to the games the most. Of course my brother loved to go to the games also. I always wanted to attend BYU and going to the games in my teen years just solidified this. The only place I applied to for college was BYU. I went to BYU and loved it! Zach, Spencer and Bryson. Alison and I outside the Marriott Center. Getting ready for Team introductions. Zach has...

Life as I see It. Sunday, May 23, 2010. Strength of the Youth. When my sister and her family were her over spring break she had this great idea that all of the cousins that are 12 and older go do baptisms for the dead at the Jordan River Temple. It was such a good experience. Uncle Mark was able to do the baptisms. After we took a couple of pictures in front of the temple. All I can say is what a great bunch of kids! Friday, May 24, 2013. Giggles has been . well. I'm going to call it "happy challenged" lately. I really think I am going to have to think of a better name for Giggles because he isn't doing a lot of giggling anymore. More like volcanic eruptions. But I don't want to rename him Volcano (despite the accurate description). To me, this is not a big deal. To him. apparently it was a HUGE deal. After several other incidents in the process of getting ready for school which I tried to diffuse, I was going to att...

Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Two days later and I am still recovering from my trip to New York. I want to thank the skunk in my neighborhood this morning for the overwhelming smell which brought back memories of the scented city streets that we walked and walked and walked every day. This was a common sight for me. Our days were chock full of activities and we roamed further from our hotel this trip. Of course we still went to Times Square. Hasn't anyone told this guy about hands-free when you drive? On our ...

It is hard to believe that my baby is getting older. He is such an amazing young man. He is playing the trumpet and pulling almost straight A's. He is serving as the Deacons quorum president. He is so caring and responsible in all of his duties. What a great example for all around him! 6th grade and owning it! My big 9 year old man! Who loves 1st grade? Well so does Mo. He loves the lunches. He loves the friends. He loves the recess. Now if they could just get rid of all that work garbage...I believe tha...
