The Hubs | Raising an Army
https://raisinganarmy.wordpress.com/the-hubs
Three Hooligans and a Princess means that I'm…. Meet the Hubs. Aka the General of our army. My handsome husband, who I love more than life itself. He’s a wonderful father, amazing husband and everything else I could have ever dreamed of. Now don’t get me wrong, he’s not perfect! He loves gaming (as do I) and spending time with his family. We do pretty much everything together. He’s not nearly as intimidating as he looks, but don’t tell him I told you that! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Send to Email Address.

Three Hooligans and a Princess means that I'm…. Hayden turns 6 in November. He likes superheroes (Spiderman, Ironman, etc), Transformers and – believe it or not – astronomy. If there’s a fact about space you want to know, just ask Hayden. His best friend, according to him, is his brother Silas. Always with a smile! I swear. He’s a sweet little guy and loves to cuddle. The newest soldier in our army. Our newest addition is Lola Sophia! Finally a wee girl in our family! More to come in the army, we hope!

The Little Things | Raising an Army
https://raisinganarmy.wordpress.com/2011/03/08/the-little-things
Three Hooligans and a Princess means that I'm…. Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.”. Then there are the little things. The things that are often overlooked and certainly life would go on without them, but they make my life just that much better. Here are just a few of those little things. There is also a non-petroleum jelly for diaper changes, but we stopped using that when we were forced to buy Vaseline Baby in a pinch and still haven’t run...

Ethans Endeavors: When I first found out...
http://ethansendeavors.blogspot.com/2010/11/when-i-first-found-out.html
Friday, November 5, 2010. When I first found out. Immediately my world went still, I could no longer hear my children in the back round all I heard in my head were the words Down syndrome, Down syndrome, Down syndrome. The room started to spin and I felt sick. This had to be a mistake. I was only 25 years old. The only thing I could manage to mutter to the perinatoligest was "how accurate are the results? Finding the Right Words: Tragedy.
http://minervadamama.blogspot.com/2010/04/tragedy.html
Finding the Right Words. My attempts at poetry and journaling. I enjoy both, as well as learning how to be a mom and balance everything in my life. I love my life but I sometimes feel hopelessly inadequate. Saturday, April 10, 2010. I prefer the cinema. I prefer oak-trees by the Warta. I prefer Dickens to Dostoyevsky. I prefer myself liking humans. To myself loving humanity. I prefer having a thread with a needle close at hand. I prefer not claiming that. The intellect should be blamed for everything.
The Mind of ~Ifer: It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!
http://themindofifer.blogspot.com/2009/12/its-beginning-to-feel-lot-like.html
Wednesday, December 2, 2009. It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! Yesterday, December 1, it was almost like the weather was following a script designed to make it feel more like Christmas around here. We woke up to a chilly morning, and throughout the day, the temperatures dropped. Folks, it's COLD out there now (well, cold is a relative term and in this case refers to the temperature dropping below 50 in Southeast Texas). The weather people are prediciting possible snow on Friday. SNOW! December...

Raising An Alien
Monday, August 10, 2015. The Sleepless Night from Hell. He had a busy day, but he still had energy. In fact, Kiddo had so much energy, he decided not. I followed at a slower pace. The walk was slow going. Sometimes Kiddo ran back toward the park. Other times he stopped to smell roses. Actually. Roses. Like 27 in a row. We get home in one piece, each parent carrying Kiddo part of the way. It's early. Kiddo can play a little before bed.except.he can't. He starts bawling. No, no, no, no, no NO! I perform ma...

Burnout does not happen overnight and there is no quick fix when it comes to overcoming burnout. Burnout can happen in any stress inducing, all encompassing area of our lives and parenting is no exception. In order to overcome burnout, you must make some long term lifestyle changes. I don’t have a 12 step plan, or a magic wand I can wave to get your life back on track but I can tell you what has been helping me. Reading my Bible and praying daily. This has been the biggest game changer for me (ya think?

Inspiration for Faith, Family and Frugal Living. Fear Fighting: Stomping Out the Image of Perfect {Guest Post}. I blame it on TV. I grew up watching the princesses. You know them, right? They were the ones whose complexions looked like porcelain, whose lips were the color of rose and whose lives were a hot mess. Until, the prince came in and swooped them up into his arms and forever changed their lives. I guess I still am. Because, in so many ways, I try to be them. Ugh I fall short. Or, do I? The lady i...

Raising an autistic child. Monday, February 14, 2011. Links to this post. Thursday, January 20, 2011. Hard to get my head around but our miracle child just turned 13! Her birthday falls during winter break so it's hard to get kids here for a party - so we had cake with family and took Lonnie bowling. She really enjoys bowling and is getting pretty good, but she gets really frustrated when she doesn't knock down all the pins. Links to this post. How To Train Your Dragon. Links to this post. Raising Anchor - FOLLOW MO FROM LONDON TO THE WORLD
Throughout our journey on the airport train we had not seen nor heard any names of the stops that the train had made. At one station we saw lots of people suddenly get up and leave the train. We panicked and made a last minute decision to take a gamble and walk off the train! We followed the signs for the exit (all in Spanish) and ended up walking up a flight of stairs towards the entrance of the station. Still unknown where we were we confronted up a large sign ahead of us. It was in October when me and...
