Rambling Engineers

Sunday, September 8, 2013. Splish splash, we were goin' to Bath. In this episode, we watch some fields through a window, Mary stands in front of some rocks, and Tyler finally goes for a bath. Side note: Trains are awesome. Our trip from the train station to our bed and breakfast made us both want to die, as the train station was in the valley, our B&B was on one of the hills, and we were too cheap to get a taxi or bus ticket. The view was nice, though. And headed to the only reason someone stuck a city i...

Rambling Engineers: Or as we like to call it, The Adventures of Mary and Her Pal Sasquatch

http://www.ramblingengineers.blogspot.com/2013/07/or-as-we-like-to-call-it-adventures-of.html

Sunday, July 21, 2013. Or as we like to call it, The Adventures of Mary and Her Pal Sasquatch. Hello, family and friends! Mary and I decided that instead of spamming Facebook with our pictures from recent travels, we would create a travel blog. After talking about it, we decided that, as young engineers, we probably wouldn't actually get much time off work to travel (yay, jobs? So now we're going to post all sorts of drivel about our daily lives! First step of real life: graduate!

Rambling Engineers: We see London, we see France...

http://www.ramblingengineers.blogspot.com/2013/09/we-see-london-we-see-france.html

Monday, September 2, 2013. We see London, we see France. Part 2 of several. Jet lag is literally the worst thing in the world. It had its talons snared into both of us for most of London. But we managed to push through and actually enjoy the bits for which we were awake. To get a good look at the city in general, we grabbed tickets for a Hop-On-Hop-Off bus tour around the city. Not only did we get to ride on a double-decker bus, but we got a pretty good guided tour at the same time. I just can't look him...

Rambling Engineers: August 2013

http://www.ramblingengineers.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Hop Across the Pond. This will be the first of several posts about our trip to the United Kingdom! Yes, yes, we know, about friggin' time. We're finally sharing our pictures and stories with you! Now let the rambling begin. Bonus points if you can name this landmark. After enjoying the luxury that us unwashed masses normally can't afford, we boarded our plane (near the very back) and flew off into the night. Tyler enjoyed the flight; Mary, however, didn't get any sleep.

http://bbacres.blogspot.com/2015/08/hello-again.html

Saturday, August 8, 2015. A month has lapsed since I've written on the blog. I kept thinking, Kelsey, you should really write something about your new job. And your friends visiting. And the parade you and Bisbee were in. And family vacation. And and and. So it kept getting postponed and postponed until it felt too overwhelming to even take on. So this is my sad attempt to jump back in to blog writing! Let's start with work. My daily tasks involve:. Responding to Facebook and website inquiries. The most ...

Blonde Bomber Acres: February 2015

http://bbacres.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Don't Eat The Yellow Snow. Every time there's a forecast of snow before a school day, I cross my fingers that we'll get a snow day. When I woke up this morning and looked out the window to a tiny dusting of snow, I grumbled and got up. The roads looked good so I decided to take gas-friendly Jerry the Honda Civic to school. The lady who answered the phone cheerfully answered my question with a "Nope! Hmph I would've already turned around and gone home if I didn't have a lab e...

Tuesday, March 17, 2015. Getting Back to My (Blonde) Roots. There is a new strawberry blonde here at BBA! After a few weeks of heavy thinking, I made the difficult decision that Harlan and I aren't the right match for each other. I have available and how to apportion them between school, work, MMSAR responsibilities, correcting dog misbehavior, and riding. They also posted him to their Facebook page and his picture immediately got almost 100 likes and over a dozen comments. I made arrangements to go ...

By order of arrival:. 18 year old palomino quarterhorse. I have had Tanner since he was 3 years old. We have been on many adventures in many states together, from Wisconsin, to Missouri, to Maine. He is basically an oversized lab.super gentle, easy going, and loves people! 5 year old mutt. Everyone has different opinions as to what breed Finch is. My best guess is basenji and Australian cattle dog, but who knows! I rescued Finch from the Delaware Humane Society in early 2011. 5 year old cat. A friend's n...

Sunday, August 16, 2015. I take a certain amount of pride in not being squicked out by much. Snakes? Spiders however.spiders are the devil incarnate. Including spider-like things, like daddy longlegs. I don't care how many people tell me they're harmless and they're not technically spiders. PURE EVIL. The broom stayed right where I dropped it after the killings for a year because I wouldn't bring it inside. This is where I'm growing and expanding as a compassionate person.sort of. http://bbacres.blogspot.com/2015/06/ch-ch-ch-changes.html

Wednesday, June 24, 2015. I am so excited to announce that I am starting a new work adventure! On July 6th I will officially be the new Website/Volunteer Coordinator for the Franklin County Animal Shelter. It is 15 minutes from the farm and the job involves a lot of aspects that I truly enjoy doing: graphic design, social media management, education and outreach, and volunteer coordination. And of course, I will get to play with PUPPIES AND KITTIES every day. It appeared on the Shelter's Facebook page.

Brownies are kind of a forbidden fruit on most gals’ diets these days. We are all trying to lose weight, right?
