Monday, January 17, 2011. I never knew a new job oppurtunity would present itself in such a graphic manner. I recently had a photo-shoot. It wasn't for a client. It was one that my sister and I had come up with just for some extra fun and to try out some ideas. Basically something to keep us sharp and from gnawing off our own limbs during the slower winter months. Leave it to me to make things harder then necessary. I decided, not only did I want a cute couple but I wanted a couple cute dogs too! Kristen...

Friday, August 8, 2014. Finland trip, part five. As hard as it was to leave family and friends, we were also excited for the next half of our trip- exploring helsinki, sightseeing, shopping, etc! The train station in helsinki was super cool. i loved the architecture, and appreciated my uncle explaining to us the different types and influences. i'll have more architecture in a later post! Then we were off to market square to do some shopping! I loved this mermaid mama and baby statue just before the market.

evie ivy overstreet: mars in japan
http://evieivyoverstreet.blogspot.com/2012/07/mars-in-japan.html
Monday, July 23, 2012. The night before we went to hiroshima. I was going through our luggage to pack what we needed, and when i opened a pocket in my suitcase, to my surprise, i found a little stash of toys and finn's shoes! I immediately remembered how he'd collected a few things to pack, since he really wanted to come with us. i hadn't realized he actually packed them, and by this time we'd been in japan long enough that it brought tears to my eyes to see these familiar things of my boy's! He loved si...

Monday, July 21, 2014. Finland trip, part three. Sunday morning we headed out for a picnic, stopping first at this resort that was being developed, to see some ultra-modern/expensive summer homes. Here i am with esa. even though our family there is more distantly related, there was a family bond that was real and natural- language barrier and all. i can only dream what it would be like if there was free-flowing communication! Mary, mikko and i. i really want to learn finnish fluently (ha! Next, we saw so...

Saturday, August 23, 2014. Meet mars. he is finn's robot, and he loves adventures. you can read about his trip to japan here. Little did we know back then, but mars' adventures were far from over! And, he has also had a skin transplant since his first trip, so he is looking forward to many more travels! Mars was kind of a sleepy-head on this trip. i think the jet lag got to him, plus he really liked the cool dark basement at my aunt and uncles house! I think he was really missing the boys, because when h...
