Philosophy of Religion with a Dash of Randomness. Monday, May 22, 2006. I recently watched Ron Howard’s The Davinci Code and wanted to make some comments. These comments are not about the film itself but some of the ideas that are presented in the story. Hopefully, this will answer some questions for those wondering how much of the Davinci Code is history and how much is imagination. No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. (Matthew 24:36).

Philosophy of Religion with a Dash of Randomness. Wednesday, June 28, 2006. Our Performance this Evening. I was driving to work the other day and someone recklessly cut me off, causing me to slam on my breaks to avoid an accident. As the adrenaline surged through my body, an anger rose up in me and I began to fume. Within seconds, a question popped into my mind that stopped me cold. That question was this: "Have you ever cut someone off in traffic? The answer, obviously, was yes. If so, why? The answer i...

Philosophy of Religion with a Dash of Randomness. Saturday, November 18, 2006. Once Saved, Always Saved. Salvation and eternal life are commonly thought of in terms of a transaction. We are taught that once a person places their faith in Christ they can never fall away or lose their salvation. My own opinion in this matter has changed over time by the scriptures themselves. The bible is surprisingly plain spoken on this issue. Here Jesus tells his disciples that he is the vine and those who remain in him...

Philosophy of Religion with a Dash of Randomness. Thursday, February 16, 2006. This article will discuss whether or not a rational person can believe in miracles. As for myself, I not only accept this possibility, but I will go even further and demonstrate that it’s rationally absurd to discount the phenomenon known as miracles. Come along with me and we’ll explore. Ok, now that our terms are clearly defined, we’ll move on. Do planets and stars pop into existence from nowhere? If we are consistent in fol...

Philosophy of Religion with a Dash of Randomness. Monday, September 19, 2005. The Intellect and the Spirit. The bible clearly says we are the test those who claim to be prophets. How do we test them if we don’t know the scriptures? The Pharisees and Sadducees were very religious people but Jesus called them snakes. I don’t want to smear organized religion but I do want to expose the other side of the coin. Where is the scholar? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn't God made the world's wisdom foolish?

Philosophy of Religion with a Dash of Randomness. Friday, January 20, 2006. These pictures were taken on December 24th and 25th of 2005 by my wife and I. Some of these are from New Orleans but the bulk of them were taken in Gulport, MS where the hurricane damage was catastrophic. Posted by Jason Cunningham @ 11:11 AM. Tuesday, January 10, 2006. Who is the Anti-Christ? So who is the Beast of Revelation? Many people think the Beast/AntiChrist is a person who will rise up in the last days. But to unders...

Philosophy of Religion with a Dash of Randomness. Tuesday, November 15, 2005. I find that very interesting. Let's look at these objections. First of all, the gospel writers give us the same story but with different details. No one questions this fact. However, the question is "are these accounts contradictory or complimentary? Another reason for this could be to simply fill in the gaps of the other accounts to gain a full picture of what took place. If you read a newspaper account of 911 from four di...

Philosophy of Religion with a Dash of Randomness. Tuesday, October 11, 2005. There are certain Christian catch phrases that have so saturated our culture that they have lost all meaning. This isn't always a bad thing because I disagree with many of these popular phrases. However, one of the most misunderstood teachings relates to salvation so the importance of this can't be missed. How many times have you heard a Christian say that one must accept Jesus into their hearts to be saved? A well-known tighrop...

Philosophy of Religion with a Dash of Randomness. Friday, August 26, 2005. Clash of the Kingdoms. Has patriotism become a religion in America? Anyone well acquainted with the teachings of Christ will know that he spoke more about the Kingdom of God than other other subject - by far. But what did he teach about this kingdom? Sure Very much so. That freedom came by the blood of many brave people. However, I'm a citizen of another kingdom and the laws of that kingdom often conflict with the American...The p...

Philosophy of Religion with a Dash of Randomness. Thursday, February 01, 2007. What is commonly referred to as "Christianity" in this country is actually, and more accurately, social or cultural Christianity. I use this term in contrast to "Biblical Christianity." There is a line of distinction between the two and it's as wide as the Grand Canyon. It's important for everyone to assess whether he or she is culturally religious or a follower of Jesus Christ. Why is this important? View my complete profile.
