4 Aug 15 - Ramblings of a Martian. Unpredictable to an enormous variety of concurrent enemies. 04 August 2015 @ 10:25 pm. Arborists. Demolished most of the front hedge, took down the holly tree, and trimmed the dead material from the big pine over the house. It's weird being able to see across the street. Also work, and minecraft. On August 5th, 2015 02:34 pm (UTC). Whoah, that's hard to imagine. You had the most effective privacy hedge of anyone whose house I've visited.

I'm feeling inadequate - /dev/mull. May 31st, 2015. I watched happy people: a year in the taiga. A documentary about trappers in a village on the yenisei river. i found it surprisingly interesting. the main tool the trappers use is an axe, and they can bootstrap up some amazing things from random trees using just their axes. and the segments on other traditional crafts, like how to make a dugout canoe or a log cabin, were also fascinating. Hearing the cuckoos cry / I long for Kyoto (Basho). I hesitate to even post this. Aug 11th, 2015 at 12:47 PM. I made it to London. No sign of my bicycle. Lost luggage paperwork filed. Thinking I will skip the Brussels leg. Very tired and dirty and hungry, but I will officially check in at the hostel at 2. Ugh. This is worse than Sunday. Aug 11th, 2015 01:36 pm (UTC). Puttin on the Ritz. Feb 2nd, 2008 at 5:25 PM. One of the things about my life that I like is my innate curiosity about things. To wit: last night's thundersnow. The snow suppresses the sound of the thunder, so when you hear the thunder of a thundersnow, that's a lightening strike that's at most 1 to 2 kilometers away. There was a gas main that got hit next to a house about a mile from here, setting off quite a gas fire. No one injured, but minor damage to the home where the main was located.
