RC Street Source: Snow Bash Video!!!
http://rcstreetsource.blogspot.com/2011/01/snow-bash-video.html
Tuesday, January 11, 2011. The servos were upgraded to a Hitec HS645MG up front and a standard Futaba in the rear with an alloy servo horn up front and a short plastic one out back to limit the rear steering throw. I did a behind the axle conversion to the front steering and a high steering mod to the rear. I also made a four-link for the rear and a three link up front to eliminate the bat wings. I also cut the bottom of the chassis to allow me to use a stick pack in it. Photos of RC Cars. VRC Pro = FUN!

RC Street Source: Yokomo Gets Funky!
http://rcstreetsource.blogspot.com/2011/10/yokomo-gets-funky.html
Friday, October 7, 2011. I like front wheel drive RC because its challenging. The physics of of motion work against the front engine front drive layout. As the vehicle accelerates its weight shifts from the front toward the rear, reducing the amount of traction by reducing the amount of weight over the front wheels. That means chassis setup and driving skill are very important to to getting the most out of a FWD RC car. Photos of RC Cars. Carbon chassis parts for Optima by Xtraspeed. VRC Pro = FUN! Balli...

http://rcstreetsource.blogspot.com/2011/10/axials-new-super-bad-truck.html
Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Axial's New Super Bad Truck. Many Americans have an inner redneck. The part that likes Coors and Four-by-fours, talking country and eating pork. I do. I quit drinking but I love my 4X4! Roads are an option and I will park it on your front lawn. I ain't scared! Like I ain't got a compound bow in there. What does this have to do with RC? The Wraith™ is designed to handle a wide variety of terrain including high speed wide open desert, forest trails and extreme crawling....

RC Street Source: HPI Brings Us the Bandit
http://rcstreetsource.blogspot.com/2012/02/hpi-brings-us-bandit.html
Friday, February 24, 2012. HPI Brings Us the Bandit. The Firebird symbol is supposed to be a phoenix but most call it the "Screaming Chicken". This chicken my not be the most scale body HPI has made but considering the curves on the real car it can be forgiven. I am positive most will be painted black. Tyco had a slot car package that had an awesome drawing of a red one. 1978 PONTIAC FIREBIRD BODY. RC Street Source: Tamiya Knows how to Wrangle up Customers
http://rcstreetsource.blogspot.com/2011/09/tamiya-knows-how-to-wrangle-up.html
Friday, September 30, 2011. Tamiya Knows how to Wrangle up Customers. There are so many reasons why I love Tamiya. They are releasing another. I think they have plans to run all of the vintage collectors/hoarders/resellers out of business. Who wants to pay $500 for a vintage kit when Tamiya will rerelease it in a few months? This time they are killing it (slang phrase that I don't fully understand). They are rereleasing the famous Jeep Wrangler! This thing is the real deal (more slang! The scale model qu...

RC Street Source: Make Your Own Parts
http://rcstreetsource.blogspot.com/2014/05/make-your-own-parts.html
Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Make Your Own Parts. If you're like me and you run old R/C cars you have probably run into the problem of not being able to find parts. Especially plastic ones. Now a company over in the UK has come up with a solution. They take a bunch of chemicals and mix them into this stuff they call Plastisteel. The name sounds very 80's so I am intrigued. A tutorial on making RC parts with Plastisteel. Photos of RC Cars. Carbon chassis parts for Optima by Xtraspeed. Return of the Scorpion.

RC Street Source: HKS/Ikkitousen Dodge Viper GTS-R
http://rcstreetsource.blogspot.com/2010/08/hksikkitousen-dodge-viper-gts-r.html
Tuesday, August 24, 2010. HKS/Ikkitousen Dodge Viper GTS-R. I decided to do it in pro-drift style with Itasha. Style graphics. The paint scheme was simple/complex. I used the patterns from broken glass that has "spider webbed" but not fully broken. I picked a spot on the windshield as the point of impact and made lines radiate out from there. I then fractured those segments into smaller fragments. Finally I assigned each fragment a color making sure no two colors shared the same border. I used the blue/s...
