Thursday, December 23, 2010. Anyone who has tried to use the ID. Field in SharePoint workflow or calculated columns will tell you that there are some annoying quirks associated with the ID. I will add to this list over time, but here are the first:. 1 Calculated Field =ID. If you set the value of a calculated field to =ID , the field will calculate correctly the first time the item is saved. But when the item is updated, the value of the calculated field will change to 0 (zero). View my complete profile.
