I read the books Lies Young Women Believe by Nancy Leigh DeMoss and Dannah Gresh, Before You Meet Prince Charming by Sarah Mally, and Perfectly Unique by Annie Downs (this is a good book! That was from about age 13-15. This past year (age 16), I’ve begun to wake up to the fact that God made me beautiful. Oh, it wasn’t like, “ZAP! You now know you are a beautiful woman and you are no longer a slave to the mirror! 8221; It was gradual, and, may I add, it’s still a work in progress! January 6, 2013.

Of Hobbits and Lincoln…. So, I know this is super late, but I just wanted to post about two amazing movies I saw in theaters over Christmas break. One is Steven Spielberg’s. And the other is–you guessed it–. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. So with no further adieu, here are my thoughts on these movies…. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. 🙂 Another thing I liked about the movie is how it brought in characters from LOTR who aren’t in the book–like Galadriel, Saruman, and Frodo. Can Someone Tell Me the True Meaning of Christmas?? | Mission Chronicle

https://readingupnorth.wordpress.com/2013/12/11/christmas2013

Can Someone Tell Me the True Meaning of Christmas? What is the true meaning of Christmas? We see our culture trying to change the true meaning of Christmas into something totally foreign and secular by slowly taking Christ out of Christmas; making it “the holiday season” instead of the “Christmas season.” And we see some Christians completely abandoning Christmas because of its supposed “pagan origins.”. Do the warm, fuzzy feelings I get when I think about Christmas constitute Christmas itself? Um, no&#4...

Shout out to Moms | Mission Chronicle

Shout out to Moms. Everyone has a mom. Whether you know it or not, whether she’s good to you or not, you have a mom. We all have someone who gave us half of our DNA, who carried us for nine months (more or less), who brought us into the world after hours of pain. That in itself is sacrifice. To all the moms who cared about their kids enough to choose life, thank you. And that’s pretty much the way it stands with Mom and God. So yeah. That’s my wonderful, epicly amazing mommy. Radiant Sunshine 4 Him. 8220;You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
