Pi Day party - you've got to celebrate Pi Day with pies - we had apple pie, lemon meringue pie, cherry pie, coconut cream pie, chocolate M&M pie, and cheesecake (we let that one slide, lol). Friday, July 13, 2012. And, a little proof that spring does exist in Texas . these just happened to be taken in February. I loved seeing all the blooming flowers and budding trees and the baby ducks on my way to work and loved the beautiful spring weather that stays for a week or so. And, one "upside" (I suppose you could say) of getting sick a lot was that I've losing a lot weight. I finally fit into my skinny jeans and my favorite sweater from high school! Monday, September 5, 2011. I got the day off! Very cool, right? Well, I didn't intend on one thing. Everything was going great, the banana muffins were coming out of the oven, I was nearly done with the eggs and was in the middle of making a birthday banner, around 7:30, when Danny walks in, all bleary-eyed and says, "I smell banana bread! And aren't you supposed to be going to work? There's food and presents. I'm happy.". More Tom Clancy books, yay. Per request, a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting!

Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Nov 24 - Thanksgiving. Yes, I'm getting behind, but isn't that just how life goes? Hopefully I'll be getting caught up soon though, now that the semester is over. So, still trying to finish up 2011 stuff.). I actually beat Danny and Dad one of the three games we played (Mom just wanted to watch), and I got my first turkey (getting three strikes in a row)! Pretty much the only pictures took all week. don't I look so thrilled? I was just tired after all the baking and shopping :).

Monday, November 21, 2011. Back track to April again) TOFW. Remember how I said this past April was super busy? We got to the main auditorium where I realized this event was HUGE. It sat a full crowd of nearly 2,000 women and girls (this year the did a combined teenage girls and adult women, splitting up for different talks on Saturday morning)! Sunday, January 30, 2011. The Wedding, pt 3 - photo shoot at the temple. I really loved the outcome of our wedding pictures (hence why I'm posting so many, I just can't narrow it down any more, lol) - thanks so much to our wonderful photographer! And props to our florist too! A local shop, I just told her that I've always wanted bright Texas yellow roses (not butter yellow or that awful sickly green-yellow, it had to be bright and sunny! Thursday, June 6, 2013. Fall 2012 - highlights. This past August we celebrated our 2nd anniversary! We decided to keep it low key since I was so busy at work still and just had a quiet fun night at home. In keeping with the traditional "cotton", Danny got me pajama pants with army on them and a "I love my soldier" tee. He got some new army clothes he's been wanting (sense a theme? General Conference weekend- Danny had a training in San Antonio that weekend; he ended up getting really sick (poor thing) and had to come home early, but on the bright side, he got to finally see some of conference - they've had training weekends every single general conference since he got here. Saturday, February 19, 2011. Halloween and Institute Dance. Halloween was always one of my favorite holidays growing up. Dressing up in fun costumes, going to fun parties, carving pumpkins, and getting tons of candy - what more could a kid want?
