Not what I thought was going to happen.: eberron_dnd

Not what I thought was going to happen. My players have come across minions of the Lord of Blades (henceforth LOB) a number of times and are getting quite annoyed by them. They're seriously considering going after LOB himself soon and this brings up a few issues. 1) He's actually not that hard, they're level 8 and I think they'd be in with a good chance against him directly(especially since they've gone for a fair bit of anti-warforged/construct stuff). So what to do? Post a new comment.

Poll on non-mainstream hobbies. For my journalism class, I'm conducting a small survey on non-mainstream hobbies with two friends of mine. We're targeting D&D gamers amongst other hobby groups. If you have some time, it'd be great if you could fill out the survey. It consists of 17 questions and can be found here. I hope this post is not off-topic; if it is, feel free to delete, of course. After getting into a fight about Changeling philosophies presented in…: eberron_dnd
http://eberron-dnd.livejournal.com/16575.html
After getting into a fight about Changeling philosophies presented in RoE, I decided to make some more, as I felt that there were still some gaps in potential mindsets for changelings, how they view their shapechange abilities, and how those can be used in the life and times of your average changeling. A Barer's appearance fits their mood. Some Barers are so intuned with their emotions that their shape and appearance reflect this - when happy, their features grow bright and cheerful, when angry they ...

The Toolbox - Roleplaying Game Hacks and Nifty Stuff. By Leonard Landon Darkwood Balsera. Fate] Compels in a Nutshell. Spirit of the Century. The Dresden Files RPG. Any Fate v3 variant. Just because it came to my mind and I wanted to archive it somewhere, this is as simple as the definition can get:. 1 Something relevant to aspect X happens. 2 The player chooses to respond with Y. 3 Z happens as a result.*. When in doubt, applying this as a litmus test is a pretty good way to go, I think. 1) The Society ...

The Toolbox - Roleplaying Game Hacks and Nifty Stuff. By Leonard Landon Darkwood Balsera. Fate] More Compels in a Nutshell. Following up from my previous post. Go read that and this comment first: http:/ lcdarkwood.livejournal.com/3824.h. Thread=15600#t15600 - I'm doing my reply as a new post because it got long, and because I think it'll be helpful to further discussion. Because, look, you have to evaluate a game mechanic by asking yourself what it actually does to play, what its purpose is. You're Dane...

Old Man (burning) River. BA Night #1- City Creation. Part Two- Finalizing the Process. Jul 29th, 2008 at 12:34 PM. Thanks for continuing to read about our first night with the Dresden Files RPG rules (City Creation). I promise to write less in upcoming discussions of this process. I tend to ramble instead of edit when I am excited about something. My friends will attest, even a simple invite to see a movie takes two or three lengthy e-mails. Mostly. Anyhoo. Who Cares About This City? Who Keeps the Peace.
