record collection: shoes of the rich and famous
http://recordcollection.blogspot.com/2006/04/shoes-of-rich-and-famous.html
Today, someday, anyday. About rocket ships and aeroplanes. Thought for the day. Not enough cat pictures? Shoes of the rich and famous. But it was another pleasant day of rest. Originally the plan was to see Emma Rugg. Unless I get some exciting new shoes anytime. Else {}' / Convert to bold. Links to this post:. As sh...

A tuesday in history. Published Thursday, 19 October 2006 by altitude zero E-mail this post. All personal information that you provide here will be governed by the Privacy Policy of Blogger.com. More. What a blissful way to start the day. Well it was an exceptional day, supernormal, a day to be narrated about in the future even. Even by breakfast time there were funny anecdotes to store away for sharing maybe, one day. A fuzzy warm feeling more special even than that inspired by Bod's. Links to this post:.

Not only is it going to be an exciting restofweek, with a trip south to visit this chap. Listen to hip hop, go to drum and bass gig, talk about Macs, take pictures. But it will be equally exciting to come back and see one of aforementioned long lost friends. And the other things that I did over the weekend?

Time to write again? I am sure it should come more easily than this. Or maybe it is just that I am too busy to sit back and reflect? Anyhow, it has been a good week or so and, ooh look, we are already well into another one. And this is the sort of thing that you end up with when you turn it up to 11:. I gues...

Writer's Block: May 2007
http://pigletandco.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Still got the writer's block. Hoping that will change soon. Tuesday, May 01, 2007. Well, it's been a long, hard slog. Is taking ten years to complete a three year degree some kind of record? And here it is. Tomorrow I will finish my dissertation. Then it's a few essays and one little exam. In 29 days time I will finally be done with it. It's hard to describe my emotions right now. That's partly because I'm so tired that it's hard for me to feel them in the first place. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Writer's Block: September 2006
http://pigletandco.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Still got the writer's block. Hoping that will change soon. Saturday, September 16, 2006. I've put myself in the dog-house this evening because, having promised to make it to a friend's barbecue (and bumping into her in Tesco's on the morning of said barbecue, when she reminded me), I, in inimitable Piglet style, managed to a) get the time of the event wrong, and b) sleep through the whole thing. I have no right to call myself a grown-up. Sara, I'm extremely sorry, I hope you had a great time. Nothing ex...

Writer's Block: October 2006
http://pigletandco.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Still got the writer's block. Hoping that will change soon. Sunday, October 22, 2006. So I find myself at the end of a week that has been both surprising and unsurprising in equal measure. And unsurprising too, because this week has had an element of the utterly normal about it. Along with the exhilaration of new beginnings is a sense that this is really where I have been all along, I just had yet to realise it. A strange bed may sometimes feel like coming home. Friday, October 13, 2006. Boring: Reading ...

Writer's Block: July 2006
http://pigletandco.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Still got the writer's block. Hoping that will change soon. Sunday, July 30, 2006. For two days I couldn't stop moving, couldn't stop talking, just couldn't. The agitation builds and builds and finally I tip over the edge and go into a blind rage, which yesterday expressed itself in screaming at two men meandering across Princes Avenue as I tried to drive down it. At what point do I stop being able to handle this? Tuesday, July 25, 2006. It's nice, on a Sunday morning in Tesco's, when confronted by the w...

Writer's Block: April 2007
http://pigletandco.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Still got the writer's block. Hoping that will change soon. Wednesday, April 25, 2007. I've been offered a job. At first it was a bit of freelance work doing some interviews for an evaluation of residential homes in another part of the country. The firm who have the contract had contacted my mum (a freelance social worker) and asked her to do it. She has too much work on at the moment so she suggested I send them my cv. They liked it, interviewed me, and offered me the work. Sunday, April 15, 2007. I've ...

Writer's Block: Relaxed... Almost
http://pigletandco.blogspot.com/2007/04/relaxed-almost.html
Still got the writer's block. Hoping that will change soon. Sunday, April 15, 2007. Well, dear readers, after 5 days in France I'm somewhat relaxed. Or maybe just smoking again. Now I'm deep into dissertation territory, and the knot in my stomach is threatening to make its return. At least I'm not angry any more. I've spent many hours sitting at my desk surrounded by the detritus of academia, and rather fewer hours actually reading, writing, or engaging in any activity approaching the term.
