We rolled in to the cold air of El Calafate twenty four hours after leaving Puerto Madryn. We were approached at the bus station by a lovely girl who took us to her hostel. I Keu Ken was a wonderful hostel situated up a hill overlooking the town and the lake. Probably the nicest Guest House/Hostel/Hotel we have stayed in to date. A great start for El Calafate.

Beer,Food, Travel and Culture. Thursday, April 21, 2011. Chiang Mai and Laos Boarder Crossing, Baan Thai Cookery School (Final Thai Beers for a while and True Thai Cuisine). The travel in Thailand is very good and well organised. The roads are smooth and the coaches and local buses so far have been comfortable. The six hour journey north to Chiang Mai didn’t disappoint with air conditioning and once we arrived we headed towards the old part of the city in our first Thai tuk-tuk. The Beer is in town.
