The Children’s Corner will soon have a new look with a table and four toadstools made by Hawes wood sculptor Andris Berg. (This is to replace the damaged willow den.). The wild flower meadow is to be cut during Bank Holiday week. Apple picking - fruit still needs time to ripen, so a picking day has not yet been chosen. Apple Day will be on 28 th. October. Events yet to be finalised.

Come into the Garden. Featured area: The Woodland Border. Probably seen at its best in the spring, the Woodland Border contains some of our native wild flowers, with swathes of snowdrops and daffodils swiftly followed by bluebells, primroses, honesty, delicate yellow poppies and flowering currant. In the summer of 2014 a sculpture commemorating the Grand Depart of the Tour de France was added to the border. Fritillaria alba and meleagris (snake’s head fritillary). Spring in the Orchard.
