Reflections, by a Memory Hoarder. Saturday, February 28, 2015. A Tribute to Mimi. For those of you who knew my grandmother, you’ve seen the face. You know the one: the one she gave when she was being stubborn. When she was determined. When she was wordlessly expressing, “Oh, yeah? Me and R in front of Mimi's childhood. Apartment in Astoria, just three blocks from. Just a month after I moved out, Mimi had her stroke. I remember getting the call from my mom that she needed me to go to the hospital....But t...

Reflections, by a Memory Hoarder: November 2011

http://www.reflectionsbyamemoryhoarder.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

Reflections, by a Memory Hoarder. Tuesday, November 1, 2011. You Picked a Good One.". I know it's been ages since I've blogged, though there was a good reason: I practically picked up another full-time job. Since September 1, I have freelanced 199 hours' worth of work, which amounts to about 25 hours a week. Considering three weekends of October were taken up with being sick/a trip to Ohio, our first anniversary (! This could be it. But I also thought,. On TV at least? 12498: The day we got you. Reflections, by a Memory Hoarder. Monday, May 9, 2011. We Have Exciting News! Don't even lie . . . a lot of you clicked on this because you think I'm about to announce I'm pregnant. Yes? This picture is here solely to push down the. Exciting news by a few more lines. I know, tricky, tricky. Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but contrary to belief, a married woman in her twenties can have news. Now that the scolding is over, the announcement: Mike has a new job! Leave it, not the other way around. Differe...

Reflections, by a Memory Hoarder: The Big Gender Reveal

http://www.reflectionsbyamemoryhoarder.blogspot.com/2013/12/the-big-gender-reveal.html

Reflections, by a Memory Hoarder. Wednesday, December 18, 2013. The Big Gender Reveal. So since I'm awake, I figured it would be good to get back to the blog and tell the story of our labor (excluding the TMI portions) and how the big gender reveal went down. It was such an overwhelming feeling to know that I had a baby. That I was taking a picture of my husband cutting the cord of our baby. Labor really is labor. After Mike cut the cord, he looked at me and said, "It's a boy! Mike's mistake was innocent...

Reflections, by a Memory Hoarder: Sixteen Things I've Learned in Sixteen Weeks of Parenthood

http://www.reflectionsbyamemoryhoarder.blogspot.com/2014/03/sixteen-things-ive-learned-in-sixteen.html

Reflections, by a Memory Hoarder. Monday, March 24, 2014. Sixteen Things I've Learned in Sixteen Weeks of Parenthood. I said weeks ago I was going to write a post about ten things I have learned in the ten weeks of motherhood. Well, lesson number 873: Finding time to write a blog post is hard. Really hard. And if I have the time, I may not have the energy or brain power to put thoughts to screen. It truly is crazy how fast time flies. Today R is sixteen weeks. So without further ado . . . Put a headband ...

Monday, August 26, 2013. For those of you who are friends with my family who have been praying for my Grandpa:. He had been basically unconscious for 6 days, not recognizing anyone or having any mental cognition. Tuesday he knew everyone by name and he asked about everyone who wasn't there.he has 3 kids, 3 kid in laws, 10 grandkids, and 9 great grandkids! Again, we didn't expect him to allow the surgery as he said he'd never go under the knife, but he said that if God wanted to keep him around for some r...

Wednesday, July 31, 2013. 2nd Half of July. So proud to be a Texan! There was way more to do and read than we expected like this Civil War Memorial.the quarter and dime we put in the parking meter for a whole 21 minutes wasn't enough! Beautiful rotunda looking straight up in the entrance to the capital building. Focusing on the Lone Star! The House of Representatives Chamber.I was imagining a room full of rowdy and passionate people in lieu of the recent SB5 abortion bill. Saturday morning, we slept late!

Friday, August 24, 2012. I think this game required a great memory, and it taught us multitasking. Posted by Amanda @ 10:52 AM. Thursday, August 16, 2012. In this class (more specifically online), I have found that I need help with handing in assignments on haiku. It's not so much that it's confusing, but it I'm never sure if it went through, and sometimes it won't let me get to a certain site to complete the homework. Posted by Amanda @ 11:23 AM. Lake Kalkaska in Northern Michigan. Most women, especially, those of us who have more years in age than we can wrap our mind around see ourselves in that mirror every morning and wonder, “How did I get this old? Rdquo; Be honest with me. I’m surely not the only one who has even said this out loud. In 1 Samuel 16:7b we read,. Ldquo; The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” NIV. Ldquo; After the fire, came a gentle whisper”.
