Reflections on Jane Morris | by Margje Bijl
Reflections on Jane Morris. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Imagine discovering a double from another century. In 2004, it happened to me, a Dutch artist (born 1975). I was given this photograph of Jane Morris (1839-1914), and at first glance I thought I was seeing myself. This discovery of my double led to the project ‘Reflections on Jane Morris’ in 2009. Since, I have been working with photographs, collages, drawings, paintings, text and sound.

Perhaps Nietzshe's Ubermensch (...

Migration & Place. Cultural Pluralism in Design. Cultural Pluralism in Design. This blog is a collection of my observations about landscapes over many years. Quai Ouest, in English
Land Use, and Bernard Marie Koltes' "Quai Ouest". A play set in the French banlieu):. The sun shines, you know, on the tundra,/the sea, the ghetto . . . From a favorite poem of mine about the sun;. We inherit a handful of dust and a fragment of stone. Yet listen, the music grows around us, before us, behind. Saint Denis...

Reflections on Leading
Confident Welsh leaders truly transforming Wales. June 9, 2015. Once again, the annual Leading Wales Awards Lunch last week was a real celebration of leadership across all walks of life in Wales. They really couldn’t have come from more different backgrounds and sectors. Significantly, 6 of the 8 are women. Despite being from such varied backgrounds and sectors the common ground for all the winners is a belief and confidence. Without doubt such leadership needs to do more than ensure that current targets...
