A blog about my fictional Seven Years' War army. Enemy of the Deylicate of Bizerrca. Monday, February 15, 2010. Painting anything that moves. I have been painting quite a bit lately. Just wanted to share a few pics of what I have been up to. To the left is IR-Owens of Cavenderia. My friend David did a nice write-up on the history of the unit in a previous post. The figures are Old Glory 15mm and I will need to finish the bases soon. Side view just realized I need to finish the horse. 15mm Egyptian Fellah...

Ilkley Old School: March 2015
http://ilkleyoldschool.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 25 March 2015. Just finished revamping the first unit of my ECW collection. Infantry are now on 40mm square basis. I have also changed my basing style to a more classic look reminiscent of Peter Gilder using filler, sand and Humbrol Grass Green (number 80). I attended a training course in York last week. On the Friday, as the course had finished, I decided to drive home via Tockwith and stopped at Marston Moor. Map on the monument shows the armies deployed. Sunday, 15 March 2015. I am going to...

Friday, 22 May 2015. Last weekend we put on a demo game at the Triples show in Sheffield. This may be the last time we put on a game at this show. We used some of Ian's extensive collection of Napoleonic 28mm figures. Ken supplied the portable table which looked very good. The buildings were from Eauns collection of scratch built Mike Sewell Normandy buildings. Although only 20mm they worked well with the 28mm figures. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Patrolling on the River Maurier. Lt Rien was watching the wagon train with a puzzled look on his face. Spotted by Dirrigul and Old Billy three days ago, his peleton from the 4th Company had shadowed the train from the Republic side of the great river, which divided the Republic from the Holy Mormoan Kingdom. Lt Gris eased down beside him, opening his usual refrain-. Geoffery, I still think we should take a few of those settlers and have a quick chat with them.". There is still blood to pay for that!

General Headquarters: First Turn Results
http://generalheadquarters.blogspot.com/2015/01/first-turn-results.html
Thursday, January 29, 2015. Back to relax in the comfort of Hadley Hall, Sir Richard reads over the reports that have come in from his spies through the region. Lord Turstoke, the Lancastrian rebel to the south-west, has apparently fought a battle. Despite being slightly outnumbered six-to-five by the neighbouring lord of Muncaster, the superior quality of Turstoke's retinue allowed him to triumph. The start of battle, with Turstoke facing a line of Muncaster men while his own is split by a copse of trees.

Ilkley Old School: July 2015
http://ilkleyoldschool.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, 26 July 2015. This year has been pretty slow on the painting front. What limited time I have seems to be spent on re basing. This morning I decided to re start painting my Saxon RSM Hussars. I have 12 of them that I started at least 18 months ago but I am finding really hard to motivate myself to complete. So I got 6 of them out of their box and got the paints out. These pictures show how far I got with them. Let's see if I can get them finished by end of next weekend. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
