Harry Noel Greenberg, (Tanny) was born in Kuruman, South Africa on the 14th March 1916, the eldest of seven children. On the 17th June 1941 Tanny who was in his 5th year of medical school at the University of Cape Town joined the SAAF to do his duty. A chronic shortage of doctors in South Africa meant he was not obliged to go to war. But he was determined to go. A and AA in all areas.

He grew up with his mother and grandparents, Roy and Joyce Reynolds, his aunt, Becky Reynolds, as well as lifelong friend and father figure Stan Morgan. It was at this time that Brandon’s love for cars began (he was only eight when he learned to drive).
