recognizing the moments: July 2008
http://recognizingthemoments.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
I think I will blog about moments. Wednesday, July 30, 2008. I lifted this from a friends blog. Thanks Sonja. It's a game that makes you think.about precious moments.happy moments.sad moments. Take a moment to reflect and fill in the blanks. It's simple. Replace my answers with your own. I THINK - too long, and then I'm indecisive. I KNOW- I am a sinner saved by grace. I HAVE- wonderful friends and family. I WISH- my kids lived closer to me. I HATE- running out of milk, coffee, and Dr. Pepper. I AM HAPPY...

I think I will blog about moments. Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Barak Obama has just been elected the next president of the United States and I am proud and sad at the same time. I am sad that when I stepped into the voting booth today I still did not know who I was going to vote for. I want to be moved, impressed, and motivated by a candidate. I want to be passionate about the people and things that I support. not confused. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

recognizing the moments: a moment for drunks and others who try
http://recognizingthemoments.blogspot.com/2011/10/moment-for-drunks-and-others-who-try.html
I think I will blog about moments. Friday, October 21, 2011. A moment for drunks and others who try. Like I said, I've never really been there, but I have compassion for those who struggle and fight to live. This poem was sent to me by someone who has been there; someone who tried and lived. It made me cry. This. Is dedicated to those who tried and lived, and those who tried and died. We died of pneumonia in furnished rooms. Where they found us three days later. When somebody complained about the smell.

recognizing the moments: September 2008
http://recognizingthemoments.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
I think I will blog about moments. Sunday, September 28, 2008. An obedient (or disobedient) son moment. Jesus said, "What do you think? A man had two sons; he went to the first and said, 'Son, go and work in the vinyard today.' He answered, 'I will not'; but later he changed his mind and went. The father went to the second and said the same; and he answered , 'I go, sir'; but he did not go. Which of the two did the will of the father? But then what happened? Why don’t you trust me? I was my parent’...

recognizing the moments: February 2009
http://recognizingthemoments.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
I think I will blog about moments. Monday, February 9, 2009. I was so tired when I went to bed last night. There didn't seem to be any part of my body that did not hurt. It had been a very long day. There seemed to be meeting after meeting (or was it just one, long, never ending meeting? And it didn't make it any better that the very long day had come after one of the longest weeks of my life. Ago I noticed that the sun has come up and it is a beautiful day! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

recognizing the moments: August 2008
http://recognizingthemoments.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
I think I will blog about moments. Sunday, August 31, 2008. A "follow me" moment. Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it.". How many thirsty could have been given water? How many lost could have been found? How many educations could have been funded? I will watch the Republican National Convention and wit...

recognizing the moments: A MOMENT TO PRAY
http://recognizingthemoments.blogspot.com/2012/08/a-moment-to-pray.html
I think I will blog about moments. Wednesday, August 22, 2012. A MOMENT TO PRAY. The image you see above is now the wallpaper on my office computer monitor. Have you prayed about it? The setting in which I do ministry has recently changed. This new place is unfamiliar and big. There is much to do. Last week I had a. Moment when I recognized. That I was trying to do things under my own power and not taking everything to the Lord first. Have you prayed about it? Have you prayed about it? I am excited about...

I think I will blog about moments. Monday, November 30, 2009. If we will get out of our comfortable easy chairs and our warm houses and look around a bit we will see that there are many who don't have comfortable easy chairs or warm houses. If you have been blessed then please be a blessing to someone else this Christmas. The needs are great. Links to this post. Tuesday, November 24, 2009. As I look at my day, my week, my month, my life - I see an endless string of deadlines. Links to this post. I love m...

recognizing the moments: October 2008
http://recognizingthemoments.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
I think I will blog about moments. Sunday, October 5, 2008. A "you are the man" moment. You are the man! It's like saying "who's your daddy." And who's your daddy in this context is not a question, it's a statement. When your middle linebacker stuffs their tailback at the goal line for no gain you say, "YOU ARE THE MAN! Or when you make a 25 foot jumper over your best buddy in a friendly game of 21 you say, "WHO'S YOUR DADDY! If you ask it in the form of a question - Who's your daddy? The rich man had un...
