Monday, July 20, 2015. Oh my goodness, have we been busy! I've loaded only a "few" pictures because I just can't fathom going through the gazillion I have, ugh. Or posting said gazillion! David and I had our 16th anniversary (that means 4 more years until England! At the end of June. For Mother's Day, Scott had gifted me a dinner for two at the restaurant he cooks at. We cashed in on it for anniversary dinner ('Cause I'm cheap like that, hahaa! Holy cow was it good! It all tastes the same to him! David a...

Farmhouse Allsorts: March 2015
http://www.farmhouseallsorts.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 14, 2015. Fine, I'm Enjoying Early Spring. Our magnolia bush is in full bloom and is gorgeous! It needs a bit of a prune, pruning being something that we've failed at completely the last few years. The blueberry bush next to it is in a severe need of a trim - they should be pruned in Fall, and I keep putting it on the back burner until I realize the year has zoomed by once again. I also need to get some more blueberry bushes! I'm heading back to make some progress on the kitchen. I'm ...

FARRAGOZ: Metamorphosis of a Display Cabinet
http://farragoz.blogspot.com/2013/10/metamorphosis.html
Tuesday, 26 November 2013. Metamorphosis of a Display Cabinet. I'm a sucker for old shop fittings, lab equipment, etc. I'm also a danger to my bank balance when I end up at what I consider to be a good auction. If I spot something that I really like, I'm like a Bull Terrier that won't let go. Somewhere in the bidding process I'll put up my hand and just keep it there! Very, very bad for business if you're buying to resell. So, out came the plans, the tools and the paint! And it had better be casein paint!

FARRAGOZ: October 2014
http://farragoz.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, 23 October 2014. Can you make a new table look like a painted antique? Yes and it's not nearly as difficult as it looks. In 1967 he presented his house, Hammerichs Hus, and it's contents to the town of Ærøskøbing, Denmark and it is now a museum. To recreate the finish of an old piece like this table, is a journey of discovery. Studying the surface would be the first step in your journey. You need to look very closely at the piece to "see" it's history. Where are they the most prominent? How to ...

Locksley Lane: MacKenzie-Childs Look A Like Pumpkins
http://locksleylane.blogspot.com/2014/09/mackenzie-childs-pumpkins.html
Refinished vintage furniture, home decor and more. Monday, September 29, 2014. MacKenzie-Childs Look A Like Pumpkins. A friend of mine asked me to paint these for her. I have to say that out of all the pumpkins I've been painting lately, these are my absolute favorites. They just add a little bit of class to the regular ole pumpkin. And if you've priced the real ones.you will want to make your own. I worked around the pumpkin from top to bottom with black squares. What do you think? A Stroll Thru Life.

Tuesday, 11 August 2015. Study of Patina in Dusky Rose. Insider Tips on how to recreate Dusky Rose patina on wood. What do you see when you look at old paintwork? I see all of that and a whole lot more. Over the years I have trained myself to not merely look at old paint, but to really see it. To see its patina. To see its colours. To see its history. Look closer. How many colours do you really see? After I was recently asked by a student how she would go about recreating the weathered finish of this doo...
