The dovecote was built in 2007 with design details that echo the barn. There are now about 30 resident white doves. Around the house the box-edged lawn was raised up to the level of the house and the tarmac removed from beside the barn. The double borders on the east of the lawn are mainly orange, red, purple and blue. The grasses in the centre, Stipa gigantea, surrounds Sea Circle by Charlotte Meyer. Dates and times for 2016. Open for the National Garden Scheme. On the 1st Friday and Saturday in. May, June, July and August 11am to 5pm. Entrance £5 per head. Groups welcome by appointment. May - October) . Entrance 7 per head to include a guided tour and refreshments. The garden is not ideal for wheelchairs as there are a lot of steps and gravel paths. The 13 acres of woodland are mainly broadleaf native trees with a few Scots pine. The whole area was completely overgrown with brambles but after a lot of clearing the wood anemones and bluebells are thriving. Above the pond the large semi-circular picnic seat was made from one of our own fallen trees which we had sawn on site. Rhodds Farm is a member of The Herefordshire Horticultural Hub. Holidays and weekend breaks in the Barn. The Barn looking across the garden. The twin bedded room. The large ground floor space. The barn is well insulated, and very warm. The main heating is provided by a large wood burner (we provide all the wood you might need), but there is also supplementary heating for the bedrooms if needed.
