86 Richmond: December 2008
http://www.86richmond.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 8, 2008. Restaurant Review: Stronghill Dining Company. Last weekend I finally had some time to go to a new restaurant for dinner. Since I live almost within walking distance to Stronghill Dining Company, I thought it was a good time to try it out. The inside of the place is very open. Big chandeliers and artsy things on the wall. It looks nice. Yes Did it taste good? My lady friend ordered the Pan Seared Seasonal Fish, "Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Asparagus, Oyster Mushrooms topped with Beer...
Cous Cous- food on fire & other incredible tales | Urban Richmond~
https://richmondva.wordpress.com/2009/01/28/cous-cous
January 28, 2009. Cous Cous- food on fire and other incredible tales. Posted by Matthew Freeman under Restaurants. I’ve eaten at Cous Cous twice recently, and both times had an incredible experience. The first was after working all weekend, my colleagues and I went there to celebrate the conclusion of a successful project on a busy Saturday night. We got there early before the crowds, and as we left, there was a long line. We made good use of the tapas concept and ordered a bunch of dishes:. The Paella w...

Thursday, January 29, 2009. Restaurant Review: Black Sheep. Well everyone in town has been to Black Sheep and I haven't seen a bad review yet. I just had to check it out to see if it could live up to the hype. The menu is as quirky as the decor. The descriptions are fun and playful and the prices are on the left side of the menu. They have Battleship sandwiches! These sands are on a full baguette! The Black Sheep ( map it. 901 W Marshall St. Richmond, VA 23220. Http:/ www.theblacksheeprva.com/. Jauregui ...

Caramelized OpiNIONS (aka RVA Foodie): Train Wreck Brunch: Valentine's Delay

Caramelized OpiNIONS (aka RVA Foodie). Food blog, frugality, and uncouth social action. Monday, February 16, 2009. Train Wreck Brunch: Valentine's Delay. The whole thing started badly because Karen and I were kinda butting heads over the scheduling of our tiny allotment of time (my fault for being really wound up about my grad school paper deadlines). Even after finding a great parking spot by the. Huevos rancheros (none of the frittatas were veggie, so I couldn't compare Lulu's with. Really sprinting wi...
86 Richmond: October 2008
http://www.86richmond.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 30, 2008. Blog published to www.86richmond.com. After a few hiccups I got the blog published to www.86richmond.com. Everything from the old address, 86richmond.blogspot.com, should redirect to it's proper place here now. I think everything is working now, except for the feeds. Those should be working once the DNS propagates. Let me know if anything else is broken. Monday, October 27, 2008. Looking at the menus I'm leaning towards Six Burner with:. Definitely check out the. 86 Richmond: Restaurant Review: Helen's during Restaurant Week
http://www.86richmond.com/2008/11/restaurant-review-helens-during.html
Saturday, November 1, 2008. Restaurant Review: Helen's during Restaurant Week. I liked the menu. It's was simple but nice. Fields greens salad or Tuscan white bean soup. Braised short ribs, ham and gruyere chicken, lavender grilled salmon or vegetarian beggar's purse. Triple chocolate torte or blackberry wontons. For the first course, we got a salad and a soup and shared. The salad was basically some nice salad greens very lightly dressed with a very slivers of cheese and maybe a couple of nuts? In concl...

Saturday, November 29, 2008. Restaurant Update: Gibson's Grill is Open. Kind of. So there's some reviews of Gibson's popping up. Here's one. And Here's a third. Someone was even nice enough to post a little review in a comment to one of my posts. It reads:. A few friends and I went to the unofficial opening party of Gibson's grill last weekend. The restaurant is beautiful! Seeing as i'm an artist, the life sized oil paintings covering the walls jumped out at me first. Thursday, November 13, 2008. I have ...

Caramelized OpiNIONS (aka RVA Foodie). Food blog, frugality, and uncouth social action. Monday, February 02, 2009. You Asked for It: Cheap Restaurants. And the difficulty of containing Jasper's boisterousness. Plus, in the past year, the number of Richmond blogs dedicated to food has increased ten-fold, mostly restaurant focused.
