Is situated 15 km from Eksteenfontein - in the vast mountain desert called the Richtersveld. This, once an old mining office, is in the Richtersveld World Heritage Site and can be your base for further expeditions for hiking, 4x4 driving and exploring. Camping is allowed here or you can stay in the new matjieshuise that have been added recently.

New tracks and campsites. We recently repaired tracks that have been closed for years - some are now partly passable by 4x2. You will however require a pioneering spirit to enjoy the solace of some of the more remote campsites - be prepared to do some challenging 4x4 driving.
