Sunday, June 28, 2009. Wow What a ride. The BTC was definitely a challenge - climbing, daily miles, total miles, riding day after day, and battling the elements of wind, heat, and rain (and hail for some). Those who have ridden the BTC before felt this was the most challenging they have ridden. Ht a nice cold Diet Coke and just sat and relaxed for about two hours watching the finishers. Ahhhhh! Friday, June 26, 2009. Back On The Bike. After a relaxing, partially rainy rest day in beautiful Crested Buttea, we are back on the bike and headed 75 miles to Buena Vista. Today we will climb 6,580 ft and summit at 12,600 ft! It is a partially cloudy morning and we expect rain on the route. At the top of our highest and toughest climb we will be riding packed dirt roads. On roud bikes? Come on. This could be a rough day! Hopefully we can miss most of the rain and enjoy another scenic ride.

This Triathlete's Life...: March 2009

http://erictrains.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Tales and images from the life of a triathlete. Saturday, March 21, 2009. Finally, Aero Bars. Man, it's been a freaking wonderful early spring. The weather has been just awesome (I'm actually hoping for some rain/snow soon! And I've been riding and running my ass off! Today, I finally got the aero bars on my new bike and took it out for a spin. I rode up to Boulder Res and rode the better part of the 5430 Sprint Triathlon bike course. This was another great test of my fitness, as I know what I can. I'm t...

Tales and images from the life of a triathlete. Saturday, May 2, 2009. Landers and I did make it out for a pretty decent ride on Thursday evening. It was a bit chilly, but great to get out and spin the legs - especially with Landers since we haven't really riden together much this spring. We didn't kill ourselves, and enjoyed a nice after work ride. He's getting significantly better, and I'm confident he will continue to do so as the Bicycle Tour of Colorado. Tales and images from the life of a triathlete. Saturday, October 18, 2008. I'm out of shape. Okay, off to finish cleaning up the tile with some nice, sore, biking legs. I'm going to be able to ramp up my volume this week, the weather should be beautiful, so that means some longer trail runs and a bit more time in the saddle. And at least one swim and one lift this week. It'll be good to feel healthy again :). Monday, October 6, 2008. Best Ride. Ever. Friday, October 3, 2008. I'm a happy camper. You ...

Tales and images from the life of a triathlete. Sunday, August 2, 2009. In honor of Mike Keane. Just finished the MS 150, way to go hoss! I am writing a quick update rather than a novel. 1 My achilles is still there. It doesn't hurt, but it doesn't feel 100%. I've run 2.5 miles in the past month, and am dying to run. It's painful how much I want to run. 2 I'm sick of the pool. It's the source of most of my activity lately, and think that my body must now be about 15% chlorinated water.
