Road to Chimayo

Tuesday, September 6, 2011. My oldest and bestest girlfriend and I have started a cooking blog. It was created primarily for us to inspire each other to stay creative in the kitchen. But we also want to share with our friends, family and readers who want to cook creatively with gluten-free (me) and not-so-gluten-free (my pal Jody) ingredients. So check us out! Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Daddy, the birthday girl, Bee, Cait, Jillian and her friend Emily. Bee helped me blow out my candles :). 3 c chopped yell...

Road to Chimayo: November 2010

http://roadtochimayo.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Tuesday, November 16, 2010. What We Wore Today. C and I are starting a new feature on the blog. Partially because we're in mourning over the loss of a blog friend who had a really cool style blog - she took a leave of absence. But most importantly, we both love fashion and the citizens in our poor town love Neiman Marcus, and not indie fashion. C calls my look French Equestrian. What do you think? APC Black Corduroy skirt (from Totokaelo.com. Journeys Glow in the Dark mix and match socks. And Baby Makes 6.

Road to Chimayo: What's for Dinner -- Cincinnati Chili

http://roadtochimayo.blogspot.com/2011/02/whats-for-dinner-cincinnati-chili.html

Sunday, February 6, 2011. What's for Dinner - Cincinnati Chili. We had the Friars over for dinner last night, and I decided to try out this new recipe from this month's issue of Bon Appetit. It was amazing. Just amazing. We used lamb, as the recipe called for, and I was astounded at how well the spices complemented the flavor of the lamb. Ground beef is just not an acceptable substitute in this dish. We also served it over gluten-free spaghetti since I have the celiac thing going on. 3 pounds ground lamb.

Road to Chimayo: Steven Alan Spring 2011

http://roadtochimayo.blogspot.com/2011/01/come-on-spring.html

Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Steven Alan Spring 2011. I just caught a glimpse of the new Steven Alan. Spring collection on Facebook. I must say - I am in love. The loose, layered styles without low-rise, tight pants is very appealing. The muted colors are a welcome departure from all the florals and bright colors that inevitably show up each spring (but not from Steven Alan! I like the second one the best. Soooooo cute! January 26, 2011 at 1:45 PM. Yes, the second one is my fave, too! And Baby Makes 6.

Road to Chimayo: December 2009

http://roadtochimayo.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 23, 2009. What a wild and crazy day yesterday! My step-daughter Jillian was driving down to see us (a 6 hour drive) and four hours into it, her car died on the interstate in a rural area. So I drove out to get her, and all turned out ok - in fact, we're going car shopping this morning! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Texasyeehaw., United States. View my complete profile. Road to Chefhood

One man's quest for food knowledge. Sunday, July 24, 2011. So I've been taking a break from the blog thing. I found the method I was using to be too time-consuming. 1) Pick a technique. 2) Study that technique. 3) Find a recipe using said technique. 4) Find all the ingredients on Saint Croix during the week. 5) Make the recipe on the weekend. 6) Write a summary and critique of the whole experience on Monday or Tuesday. One thing I realized for sure is that my method required too much time from a young en...

Posted by Chip, Beverly and Evan Riddlesperger @ 4:29 PM. One year ago today RaeNi was placed into our arms for the very first time. She was so sick and frightened. She didn't cry out but tears would roll out of her eyes. We were so worried about her. I can't imagine what was going on in her little mind. Sunday, October 29, 2006.

The Road to Chumpcar | The home of "Apex of Failure" a crap-can racing team.

The Road to Chumpcar. Pit stops can make a race. April 23, 2014. Nick claims he’ll wright up a race summary and he has all the pretty photographs so if you don’t want spoilers then wait for his post. Also, if you don’t like numbers then this is probably a good post to skip or jump to the tl;dr section. So what contributed to our success? So what about our pace? Carried over every lap of a 160 lap ( 7hr) race that comes out to over a 6 lap deficit. Since we came out ahead of them clearly that differen...

Road to Cider Mill | Cycling in Leawood, KS

Road to Cider Mill. Cycling in Leawood, KS. Bull;December 4, 2010 • Leave a Comment. With winter rapidly approaching, I had to invest in some winter riding gear. I technically needed to invest in fall riding gear as well, but thought I should get started with the winter gear as I knew this would take quite a bit of time figuring out what would be the best gear for Kansas City winter riding. I had a strong idea it would be Castelli. But wasn’t 100% sure. I’ve recently taking a liking to Capo. Cycling Rout...
