Ontario peas, Mill St beer battered lobster, and BC spot prawns/halibut/cod/crab/etc. So how about the food? It was my second time going and enjoyed it both times. You have to choke down paying $8-10 for a grilled cheese but when you start to think about it, it's reasonable enough. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Went here for lunch with two others. The space doesn't feel nearly as cool as the other Blowfish but is 'hip' and new looking for certain (here's a toronto life photo. It's only 6wks old at this point and smells new even. Very professional phone demeanor and waitstaff, which is important for a Bay St business crowd. The nigiri we had (toro, sake, and hamachi) was terrific and the best I can remember in Toronto (bold statement! Cost $190 incl a $30 tip and a couple of diet cokes.

Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Went to Frank's Kitchen for a business dinner. Somewhat narrow and somewhat dimly lit but comfortable in both respects. A bar at the front and brighter walls the place was empty at 6:45 but full by 8. The wine list was surprisingly reasonable. Markups were maybe 3x but we're still talking low #s. Lots. Thursday, August 19, 2010. Guu Izakaya has been open for a while and purportedly always has a line. I thought I was smart and waited eight months before going on a rainy Sunday at 9:15pm. Still a 45minute wait! Well that's what she said, it ended up being 5minutes. Incredible that they stay this busy but I soon found out why as I loved it.
