In July Tess and her mother and two other friends came to Portland as Tess was playing two shows (she is a beautiful singer/songwriter). It is so important to me that my kids have the chance to spend time with people who have a much different story from them and I am so thankful for the time they had to catch a glimpse of a life affected by CF. The Finlayson Family Story. And then there were 4. Monday, June 30, 2014. Part of being on Okinawa is not only enjoying the beaches here.but also on the surrounding islands! Since Grandpa, Grandma, and Jandy were here and they LOVE (is there a stronger word? The water, we decided to head down south to the Kerama Islands.or more specifically, Aka island. The best part about the food was that it was eaten on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Very relaxing and the perfect way to begin and end our days.

Before we made it over to the temple we had to pack up and check out of our house, and then instead of carrying them around Kyoto with us, we put them into lockers at the Kyoto station like before. We hopped on a bus that thankfully took us straight to the Golden Pavilion; getting on and off a bus with a ton of kids and all their stuff can be quite a task. Thursday, May 28, 2015.
