I enrolled in the Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute at Brock University when I was 18 years old. After studying there for 4 years, I received an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Oenology and Viticulture. Although at times I felt out of place (especially since I was. The youngest in my class), I excelled in school and realized that I had to work twice as hard to be taken seriously. Balance, a philosophy I use everyday in winemaking and in life. To have the chance to taste some amazing w...

Prior to meeting at a Croatian Dance one cold 70’s Saturday Night in Welland, Ontario, my parents Mira and Marijan lived in Croatia. They both came from poor families and as teenagers they dreamed of finding a better life and building a brighter future. They eventually left their homeland and immigrated to Canada. My father is a sensitive man and a philosopher. When he was 15 years old he did as his father and grandfather did and studied to be a butcher. By the time he was 16 years he received his paper and worked in one of Europe’s most renowned Meat Producers,. When I was young he made the best sausage in the community, and every winter I would help him cure his meats and help make sausage with him. Canadian Food and Drink Revolution. September 3, 2013. The Netherlands Part 1 Toronto to Netherlands Photographer YYZ AMS. First stop was Beetsterzwaag where my great aunt and uncle and second cousin live. Its a cute small town with cute country houses and friendly neighbours. We stayed there for a few days and walked around and visited some of my grandfathers history. We then travelled to Goingarijp. A small village in Skarsterlân. Digging up old pictures of the same spots we went to. Today, Goingarijp is a quiet retirement sailing town.

This summer is shaping up to be a great one and I want to add your family to my calendar! Are you traveling to a cottage or even camping vacation this summer? To kee...
