There's no place like home: Ha
http://dawnshome.blogspot.com/2008/05/ha.html
There's no place like home. Tuesday, May 20, 2008. After I posted that last layout, I went back to look at my first. I used the same background paper for both layouts. And they're both of birthday girls, one of my daughter, and the 2nd of my niece. And both layouts are of the girls with their cake. How cute. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There's no place like home: She's off!
http://dawnshome.blogspot.com/2008/06/shes-off.html
There's no place like home. Friday, June 6, 2008. Heather left for her trip to London, Wales and Ireland today. She was so excited and a little nervous at the same time. She's never flewn in a plane before so she was a little apprehensive about that, but if I know my daughter she will LOVE the plane ride. It helps that she's traveling with her Mimi, best friend, and Aunt. Here are some pics of her at the airport. I can't wait to see her pics from the trip. Heather and Amanda waiting to leave.

He passed his permit and he is licensed to drive! With another driver of course). Daniel taking his permit test, and at the booth next to him is one of his closest friends Amber. There's no place like home: I am NOT a dog groomer
http://dawnshome.blogspot.com/2008/05/i-am-not-dog-groomer.html
There's no place like home. Saturday, May 17, 2008. I am NOT a dog groomer. Nor do I want to be. Both of my dogs needed bathing, but the Golden Retriever also needed trimming. Many of her "feathers" and fur between her toes had gotten SO long. Jeff called around to see if anyone could take her in but they were all full. It's not a great cut , but it's really not to bad either. Here's a pic of both my sweeties after their baths. May 18, 2008 at 6:55 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Paper Roses: June Sketch
http://paperandroses.blogspot.com/2012/06/june-sketch.html
Tuesday, June 5, 2012. I challenged myself this month. I love the look of circles, but I find it a challenge to use them and make them look good. I tried it this month with the sketch. Here is the result:. The journaling says: Ace's little pink fuzzy paws are very sensative. She will kick if I touch them. If I do not stop, she will move them out of reach. If I reach for her again, she may try to bite. I know I shouldn't tease her, but it is so much fun. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://paperandroses.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 24, 2012. I am attempting to remember my friends birthdays and send them cards. This might be because I am such a nice person or it might be because I need to do something with the cards that I have made. I will let you decide because I am not going to incriminate myself by saying anything,. Both of the cards were made for a Blue Plate Special at Cookin Up Creations although I couldn't tell you which day the challenge and sketch was. Wednesday, April 11, 2012. That was a Thursday night.

Paper Roses: Thanks to Veterans
http://paperandroses.blogspot.com/2012/05/memorial-day-weekend-is-over-and.html
Tuesday, May 29, 2012. My dad, Ralph Pratt. He served in WWII. He was in the Japan Theater. He never said much about it. I guess that it proves that if you have really experienced war, that you really don't want to talk about it in "war stories.". In addition to my dad, his brothers Ed and Mort also served in WWII. I was blessed that my dad and both my uncles came back from the war. I know that many were not that lucky. There are also people currently serving that I know as well. I think of course of...

Paper Roses: Tribute to Mom
http://paperandroses.blogspot.com/2012/05/tribute-to-mom.html
Tuesday, May 8, 2012. Mother's Day is one of those awkward days for me. I never quite know what to do. I lost mom 6 years ago so If I want to spend Mother's day with mom, it is in the cemetery, not at home or in a restaurant. I am a mom myself, but I also homeschool my kids which means that I am with them just about all the time. My idea of a Mother's day treat for me is to get away from my kids and at least for a few hours get to act like I am not a mom. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Paper Roses: May 2011
http://paperandroses.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 13, 2011. Yet another year of Awana has ended. I can't believe that it has been 13 years for Eva and 6 for Emily. I still remember when they were Cubbies, but they are not any more. This year was Eva's first year in Journey. It changes that were wrought by entering high school. Emily completed her first book in Truth and Training (aka. T&T). In addition to finishing the book, she also earned all the Silver and Gold. She was the only one of any of the kids to do so. Monday, May 9, 2011. Once a...

There's no place like home: February 2008
http://dawnshome.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
There's no place like home. Sunday, February 10, 2008. Ready, set, blog. I am not much of a writer, nor am I one to post my private thoughts on a website, but after seeing my friend Robin and some other blogs, I thought it might be a fun way to communicate with family and friends I don't see every day. Especially those that live in another state. I may not update it very often but I am going to try. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I am a wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, child of God. All that, and I ...
