The awesome blog :). May 13, 2009. Its very hard trying to find a suitable venue to host an ethnic wedding. I really wanted to avoid the usual South asian/Indian halls because practically every other family member/friend hosted their wedding there. The awesome blog :). May 14, 2009. We chose our venues! Oh boy, the trouble we went through to find a date. As we wanted to respect our parents, the dates and more specifically a timeframe had to be checked by a priest to determine if it was ‘auspicious’. We gave the priest a series of dates and NONE of them worked out. After a lot of drama – the ceremony day and timeframe (between 1:00 – 1:30pm) was chosen! I’m super excited!
