Butter - 1/2 cup (1 stick), melted and warm. Brown Sugar - 11/4 cups, firmly packed. Large Eggs - 2. Hot Water - 1/2 cup. 1 Preheat the oven to 350F, position the rack in the lower third of the oven. Butter the bottom of an 8 inch square or 9 inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper. Butter - 5 tbsp. Granulated Sugar - 3/4 cup.
