Chasing OPC cardboard one random yardsale at a time. Want List – OPC Hockey. Want List – Other Stuff. July 6, 2015. I’ve always liked that phrase. A hodge-podge. That it is because I grew up in a house with English parents. I picked up a hodge-podge of cards (the jumbled mix, not the stew) on Friday from a guy I met online. He was looking for 86-87 OPC in great condition to trade and I just happened to have a bunch from the replacements I had after buying the full set a couple weeks back. Next post →.

What’s the biz? A supercard must meet the following criteria:. It must be from 1976 or after (cards before that time fall into the classic category). It must be a card coveted by collectors. It must be instantly recognizable by collectors. The card must be of a player with proven tallent, no unproven prospects. They must be an All Star and preferably an MVP. It must be a regular non-insert card. It must have been available in packs, (the only exception being Traded and Update sets). The list so far:.

What’s the biz? What’s your limit…. 8220;THE” set collector… →. Group break results…. November 3, 2011. After reading about all of Beardy’s group breaks I decided it was time to have a go. A few weeks ago the folks over at A Cardboard Problem announced a Finest case break. I knew Sooz from the site was a Kouzmanoff collector so I offered an ’07 UD throwback auto /5 for the Twins in the break. She accepted. The break was about 3 weeks ago and here is what I got. The highlight was this guy. And 4 of Revere.

What’s the biz? My take on group breaks, or, whats wrong with the hobby…. August 2, 2014. I don’t like group breaks. I have only been in one and that was enough. I also don’t think they are good for the hobby. They push the high end higher. Doing so widens the gap between the average collector and the rich people that can gamble hundreds or thousands on a ultra high end break. It’s like a microcosm of the US, the 1% and the 99%.
