Welcome to my thoughts. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Ali Raaja and his infamous port. We read Kannanoor Ali Raajaa story in our history books. I was told this is the port they used to start their journey towards Maldives and other parts of South Asia. It was not Ali Raja initiated to concur Maldives, however King fled to India due to political instability in Maldives. He landed the area called Kannanoor and met Ali Raja. Maldives was under Ali Raja influence for nearly 4 months. It was 1752.
