The Wanderings & Wonderings of a Seminarian: February 2013
http://wanderingseminarian.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
The Wanderings and Wonderings of a Seminarian. Thursday, February 28, 2013. Lent Photo Day #16 "Earthly". Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal; but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21 NRSV. Another mandala from my colored collection. Wednesday, February 27, 2013.

While it was not a joyous occasion, neither was it one which I mourn deeply, for Dad had lived a long, eventful and productive life. Vernon D. Michael February 9, 1914 – December 23, 2010. The Wanderings and Wonderings of a Seminarian. Saturday, June 25, 2011. I wonder if there will be more days like today yet this summer. What a great summer day it was today! We worked around the house this morning and then headed out to the lake to take the pontoon out. We tried fishing a little but that turned out to be a disaster. So the kids jumped on the tube and away we went. The sun was shining and it was warm! Friday, June 24, 2011. Lots to wonder tonight. We were given a list of 12 questions at t...

Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Our family. One windy afternoon. Captured by our sweet friend and photographer, Sarah. Saturday, January 4, 2014. I *blinked*.and Fall came and went. What a fun fall we had! It was comprised of a few big events, and lots of fun everyday things. Here are our highlights:. Uncle Eddie married sweet Nellie! Though their wedding day was one of the rainiest days I've ever seen, it didn't distract from a beautiful wedding. I'm sure there wasn't a dry eye in the church! William started ...

Son and Daughters: December 2012

Saturday, December 29, 2012. Christmas landing on a Tuesday this year allowed our Christmas celebrations to be spread out over a few days. This makes for more rested children and happier parents! Our first celebration was The Arola Christmas. My mother-in-law is one of six children, so it's a big family! Uncle John and Aunt Kathy hosted it this year in Duluth. There was a great turnout, including the three babies that were born in the past year. So fun to see them all together! Larry, Ashley, and Barb...

Son and Daughters: July 2013

Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Our dear friends, the Witciks, recently came for their traditional mid-summer visit. We finally have named this event.CAMP SKAUDIS! Camp Skaudis has a little something for everyone: abundant woods to roam or ride the 4-wheeler; a quiet lake to swim, fish, or tube; comfortable couches and quiet (hahaha) to take an afternoon nap; lots of people around to keep you company; and there's always something good to eat. Audrey, Ellie, and Nora loved dancing with E's umbrellas. 5 of our 6...

Living the Alaska Dream: October 2011

Monday, October 31, 2011. First and most important . My hubby is home. He's still not feeling good. Still having the same symptoms, just not nearly as bad as before. This is a great puzzle over here.He did drive today and was out for a bit. It may take a while, but a little better every day is a fabulous thing. On Saturday while he was taking one of his many naps, this came to live with us. I've been trying a few different things lately. I tried felting slippers out of wool roving and they promptly w...

Monday, November 28, 2011. Special Thanks on this Thanksgiving weekend. I have pondered how to best share this story and feel that I must share it with you.It is quite a miracle and a great way to celebrate a Thanksgiving weekend. This story began a long time ago. In the past several weeks the family has been contacted by a gentlemen named Bob. He is no relation to the family at all, but was looking for his boyhood friend . who happened to be Jari's first cousin. Bob has the great fortune of ...I am quit...
