That picture in your mind | Wanderlust at home
https://ruminateatleisure.wordpress.com/2015/07/20/that-picture-in-your-mind
Random musings of a wandering soul. That picture in your mind. July 20, 2015. I read Heidi first in school. Johanna Spyri’s spirited little girl who was dumped unceremoniously on a grandfather who never wanted her in the first. Place Was it the first time I heard of a far off country called Switzerland? A few years before the book, I had fallen in love with hills and mountains. It was but natural that the love extended to the enchanting story. There is something about walnuts. Random musings of a wandering soul. March 19, 2015. Samanth Subramanian is an author who I discovered recently. His second book came to me first – This Divided Island : Stories from the Sri Lankan War. Yes, fish does that to me. Give me a pot full of fresh kallu, a plate of translucent, steaming kappa and some blood red. Curry any day. I would gladly trade that for anything. Well, almost anything. In yellow, orange and white. The eyes never rested long on the colours, though. The fingers drummed ...8216;...
Pieta | Wanderlust at home
https://ruminateatleisure.wordpress.com/2015/04/08/pieta
Random musings of a wandering soul. April 8, 2015. I was just a a girl. A naive one, at that. You knew it, didn’t you? Mother of God, you said. And blessed am I, you added. Dreams of angels playing harps. Shattered by Herod’s armed ones. Bed of roses I looked for. And a manger lay in wait. Three kings came and went. Gold, Frankincense and myrrh they brought. Of the first I know not. The other two, burnt and spent. The child born of me, was never mine. Yet a mother, I had to be. Three score years with me.

Where book lovers come together. Review: World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War. August 5, 2015. The book covers 8 major periods of the Zombie War:. Primarily set in the USA, this chapter deals with how the country is restructured. Between Write and Wrong. Friday, 10 May 2013. Read what you write. Here’s a part of you trying to “attempt the unthinkable”. In your own words, and advising us women, followed by what I think:. 1 You once said: “Don’t get competitive with other women. Desire to judge other women needs to end. Why be so hard on each other? Can you let each other breathe? That’s her problem.”. You want our kind to exit, any further advice for those who may have got inspired? 2 Then, one day – “T. And to let you in on a sec...

June 30, 2015. 8220;You have to write these down Mama” she would say, after I had finished recounting yet another story from my life. ruminatedstuff « Thoughts about stuff from here and there
Thoughts about stuff from here and there. In Defense Of Peruse. Is a verb I’ve rarely heard or seen used correctly. It means to read carefully with attention to detail. However it is typically used as if it means “browse” or “skim”. I speculate that this is because its sound when pronounced makes it sound like an activity done leisurely. I know language evolves, and the meanings of words change. In this case, however, I think we should resist changing the meaning of. Is misused, e.g. It’s the time ...
