Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Lily got her new SureSteps. Orthotics) last week. They give her extra ankle support to help her with standing and walking. It took some searching and creativity to find non-lace shoes that she could wear with them (we like to avoid laces because Lily eats them.while she's wearing them.). And uses it for everything. She will come to me when she wants something and sign "more".sometimes I have no idea what she wants! This is also the first (and thus far, only) time she has smiled and laughed while playing peek-a-boo with the laundry basket. Playing peek-a-boo is a developmental achievement for Lily- we've been working on it with her ever since we got home 14 months ago! Enjoy the video :). Saturday, September 22, 2012. She will have a para (one-on-one aide) and also get all her school-based therapies there (physical, occupational, and speech therapy). It's going to be great! In June, Lily started going to summer camp at the Blue Ridge Autism and Achievement Center (BRAAC). This is a private school that provides intensive ABA therapy. Lily LOVES school! Lily's work station at BRAAC. Lily started going to school there full time in the fall. She is doing SO, SO well there! Ruby is VERY attached to mommy!
