And by the city, I mean NYC. August Recap = byeSummerbye. I can’t get over how now 70 degree weather feel like Autumn… it’s amazing how fast we get used to 90s or 10s around here…. I am already missing the high temperatures and dreading the winter, but. August was insane. I don’t know if I ever run 149 miles in one month and I am too lazy to look it up. I know that’s weekly mileage for some of you, but whatever, we all have our limits! You’re welcome. So here’s the naked August truth:. Downs: Tapering fo...

Summer Streets in NYC | runningandthecity

http://runningandthecity.com/2015/08/08/nyc-summer-streets

And by the city, I mean NYC. Summer Streets in NYC. What is Summer Streets. On three consecutive Saturdays in the summer, nearly seven miles of New York City’s streets are opened up for everyone to play, run, walk and bike. I love Summer Streets! You get Park Avenue on the Upper East Side all the way downtown to the Brooklyn Bridge for yourself, and then some. There are events, water stations all over, and you really feel like you own the streets. I love Summer Streets, did I tell you already? Ha, I did!

And by the city, I mean NYC. Tag Archive New York City. NYRR Hope And Possibility 4 miler – best race ever. Well, I’ve written about this race SO many times, I am sure you’re sick of it. It’s AWESOME. Take my word. Or go see the NYRR photo galleries here. Anyway, you get a great idea of what race looks like in those pictures right? Which was also hot but at least I would be back home in the shower earlier…! Gosh we were so hot, we stopped at the boathouse to throw water on ourselves! Mile 2: 7:01. Mil...

http://runningandthecity.com/2015/08/04/nyrr-team-championships-a-5-mile-race-and-a-dashing-whippets-picnic

And by the city, I mean NYC. NYRR Team Championships – a 5 Mile race and a Dashing Whippets’ picnic! And we started August with a bang! I decided to sign up for this race pretty much a week before. I am glad I did because Patricia and I ended up leading the women masters for the team: everyone else was at a beach somewhere, which is, SURELY, what we all should have been doing that day! I woke up at 6 and it was already “warm”…. So, it’s QUITE a different vibe to say the least! Photo Credit: Brian Donaghy.

It's about a woman who likes to eat and run, duh. I’m quitting quitting. I’m a quitter. I freely admit it. I hope you have your reading glasses on, and don’t quit on me. Because this post is loooooong. What can I say? I have like 9 months to atone for. I started training for a marathon when SuperGirl was about 7 months old. And guess what? That totally makes sense. Doing Crossfit during that pregnancy was awesome because everything was so NEW! Preferably one made by Lululemon? I’ll even settle for ...

Thursday, April 23, 2015. Training for the Airbnb Brooklyn Half. As you may know I'm running the Airbnb BrooklynHalf. On May 16 with Mark ( @marathoner. I ran my first half marathon in The Hamptons. Saturday, November 15, 2008. Knickerbocker 60K - 9:51. The unexamined life is not worth living." - Socrates. I like to move it, move it" - Madagascar 2. We began with a simple out-and-back run, from Runner's Gate to 102nd Street and straight back, good for 1.38 miles. Then once we got back to Runner's Gate, we kept on going in a clockwise direction, and I didn't stop until 5:52 pm The nine loops followed the interior four-mile loop of Central Park, exactly 3.98 miles around. A bit of rambling about instruments, art, beer, and trail running. Strength Stories – Tony / Endorphin Dude. November 21, 2013. To make matters worse, that sedentary life style lead to many other health problems. I was barely thirty years old and had to take meds for type two diabetes, cholesterol, and high blood pressure. In my mind, though, it was ok. I kept telling myself, “Why do I have to exercise and lose weight? Modern medicine has made it easy for the obese American! I also thought a 5k was a tax...

A bit of rambling about instruments, art, beer, and trail running. Baby Steps, But I’m Back! October 29, 2013. It’s been quite a while since I took my last steps at a “more than walking” pace. In fact, my last run was Double Dipsea, which could not have been more perfect. Beautiful place, charming people, and followed by an entire night of working at the Western States Endurance Run. I got a call about my MRI the other day and my ortho specialist was surprised to report that the break is, well…. No swell...

Running and Style by Sara – By Sara

28 diciembre, 2016.

Running & Sunshine | because turning dreams into reality is easier on a sunny day.

Because turning dreams into reality is easier on a sunny day. Let’s Talk Training. And so it begins! September 20, 2015. I’m impulsive and impatient. I’m a dreamer, and I’m dedicated. This deadly combo forced me to hit the register button on the IRONMAN Wisconsin website (after many attempts to talk myself into waiting until 2017). It’s taking chances and following dreams that makes life interesting, right? Like 140.6 miles? Across the lake. Then, we’ll head out on a very hilly. I have my reasons…. The I...

The title says it all. Sunday, 30 December 2012. They say that something can be more than the sum of its parts. I'm not sure that's the case with blogging. Particularly if I only manage a few lousy blogs a year. So this year. I am ( armed with my new ipad mini) going to attempt to Janathon. Exercise every day. Blog about it every day. Sorts out the shape and the mindset. Actually looking forward to it. In between getting all the new 2013 prints done! Friday, 17 August 2012. You can look at the website.
