Just a mom who runs for cheeseburgers…. February 26, 2015. When we found out that RnR Philly was being moved because of the Popes visit I was pretty bummed. I get it, you certainly don’t need a big road race with the Pope in town, but still. That was a good fall half. Mary sent me the link to the superhero half that was falling on Oct 18 about a half hour from my house. The best part? And it has a medal! And they give out candy! Read Write. W(h)ine. Christina and I grew up together and were both best friends and sisters. She broke her neck in a diving accident in June 2005 which left her paralyzed from the chest down. She had no functional movement and required assistance for every single task, from getting dressed in the morning, to going to the bathroom, to eating, to scratching an itch. Read Write. W(h)ine. We’ve stayed off-property (once), at Pop Century (7 times), at Port Orleans Riverside (once), and at the Polynesian (twice, plus a one-night splurge in 2009). In 2010, we did a split stay between the Holiday Inn Downtown Disney and Pop. During our two most recent trips, we stayed club level at the Poly and I don’t think we’ll ever be able to stay anywhere else! I was even a Disney Vacation Specialist for a little while (graduated from the Disney College of Knowledge and everything!

Read Write. W(h)ine. My mom passed away November 17, 2010 due to lung cancer and various complications. She was diagnosed in June of that year, and went through one round of chemo and two rounds of radiation. She tried her hardest and put up an admirable fight, but unfortunately it was a losing battle.
