Running In An Apron: M&M Cookies

http://www.runninginanapron.blogspot.com/2013/09/m-cookies.html

Running In An Apron. Monday, 23 September 2013. If I'm being completely honest with you all, I am not actually a huge cookie fan. I prefer cupcakes, or squares, or well. almost anything besides a cookie. But, if there is one cookie that I can never say no to, it's an M&M cookie. I don't know why I love them so much, but I think it has a lot to do with the pretty colours poking through the yummy base. I'm a sucker for pretty colours! 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. In a large ...

Running In An Apron: Layered Chocolate Pudding

http://www.runninginanapron.blogspot.com/2013/09/layered-chocolate-pudding.html

Running In An Apron. Saturday, 7 September 2013. I have a little secret for you. I don't really like chocolate. I mean, I like it but it is never ever my first choice. I'm a vanilla girl through and through. Pudding has to be chocolate. I love chocolate pudding and have been craving it for a really long time. Honestly, that's the main reason I added it to my 26 X 26 list - just so I could have an excuse to make it! 1/2 tsp. salt. 2 1/2 cups whole milk. 4 large egg yolks. 1 tsp vanilla extract. Whisking c...

Running In An Apron: August 2013

http://www.runninginanapron.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Running In An Apron. Thursday, 29 August 2013. I'm not sure why I've never attempted homemade tortillas before. I don't even think I've looked at a recipe for them before. I didn't think they would be hard or anything, they just were never on my radar. They're on my radar now! Rolling it out. Excuse the stripe of pink polish on my thumb! Cooking in cast iron. I would use a griddle next time. 3 1/2 cups flour. 1 1/2 tsp. salt. 1/2 tsp. baking powder. A scant 1/2 cup lard or shortening. Place a tortilla in...

Running In An Apron: Multigrain Bread

http://www.runninginanapron.blogspot.com/2013/09/multigrain-bread.html

Running In An Apron. Thursday, 12 September 2013. A and I go through stages at home with everything, bread included. Some weeks we'll go through a couple loaves, stuffing ourselves with sandwiches and toast. Other times, we'll go months without having a loaf in the house. When we do get a craving for bread, I almost always turn to this recipe. Baking your own bread is so simple and almost always turns out perfectly. Plus, there isn't much that beats the smell of bread baking away in your oven! 12 Septemb...

Running In An Apron: Goal Update: Running

http://www.runninginanapron.blogspot.com/2013/09/goal-update-running.html

Running In An Apron. Monday, 9 September 2013. I haven't updated my running progress in a couple of weeks, but unfortunately I don't have anything good to report on. I am ashamed to admit that I've only run *three* times in the last two weeks. This run is from August 27th. It felt awful the entire way, but I managed to run that entire 3.10 km distance (despite the red, slow-poke section in the middle! 9 September 2013 at 13:42. I have faith. You will do it! 9 September 2013 at 15:45. Lets talk about it.

40 accomplishments before I turn the big 4-0! September 11, 2013. Reading is going well…. Now onto reading, I got myself immersed in The Mortal Instrument series. I could not put them down! I think it took around 10 days for me to read all 5 books (and now I am anxiously awaiting the 6th book to come out in May). So as part of my “read 25 books in a year” challenge, I’ve posted my updated reading list:. 1 The Lucky One – Nicholas Sparks. 2 Safe Haven – Nicholas Sparks. By Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. Progress sl...

40 accomplishments before I turn the big 4-0! August 29, 2013. Progress slowed down……….need a kick in the butt! But I’m getting frustrated. And feeling lazy. It does feel. Better today so I’m hoping to be able to go for an easy, short run tomorrow night. On the plus side, I knocked another book off! Maybe next year I’ll try to read 30 books in one year! August 15, 2013. Here is the list of books I have read so far:. 1 The Lucky One – Nicholas Sparks. 2 Safe Haven – Nicholas Sparks. By Mimi Jean Pamfiloff.

40 accomplishments before I turn the big 4-0! August 1, 2013. I’ve started running! I’ve started running! And good gravy, man. I need to quit smoking! Then I went running on Sunday. Like I said, I felt great from the day before! But this time, I thought “what the heck? I’ll run around my neighbourhood. 5k’s aren’t run in the gym, they’re run outside on pavement! 8221; So I laced up my running shoes, threw my hair in a ponytail and headed out the door. 40 accomplishments before I turn the big 4-0! August 8, 2013. So we all knew my daughter was going to run circles around me…. And she totally did! Two nights ago I went out for a run and stupidly decided to push myself a little harder even though I only started running, what, a week ago? My daughter on the other hand was a freaking Olympian out there! I’ve started running! Try to cross a couple of my list? Can it be done…. →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Changing pads or tampons in porta-potties? One of our teammates is a nurse practitioner and mentioned using a menstrual cup. The general consensus was to be disgusted by the fact that you’d have a cup of menstrual flow hanging out inside of you. And how do you take it out without making a mess? Running In An Apron

Running In An Apron. Wednesday, 25 September 2013. Lemon meringue pie is pretty much the perfect dessert. Well, providing you like lemons of course! It is sweet, but not too sweet, tart, and light. I especially love the play on textures - the crisp, flaky crust to the whipped and airy meringue to the smooth lemon curd. All of those things combine to create a beautiful treat perfect for sharing. And will update after with my results - hopefully they're improved! 1 cup 2 tbsp. cake and pastry flour. Stir t...

Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Oh what a September! Oh what a September! This month I was blessed with a new Jewish soul which included the commitment of observing many holy days in which relaxation and ingesting large amounts of food is an obligation. :) This did not necessarily make my marathon training easier. I believe that expression was appropriate at the time. Small dogs should be in purses. Wednesday, July 28, 2010. 9 miles later and the skirt is getting on my nerves. Yep I said it. The SKIRT...
