As you could imagine a lot has gone on in that time. I've never again been the weight I was when I first typed this blog - so that's great. I just realized reading the right rail of my blog that 6 years ago today I was training for my first half marathon. It was my last half marathon too, ha! So, here's what I'm up to:. I don't know yet. Doing we...

The ramblings and musings of a running Grandma. Wednesday, February 23, 2011. I went for a 16 km run this morning and it was the. The weather was beautiful - I was rested - and for once, I was not in a hurry. When I left the house, I decided that I wanted to reconnect to why I loved running - and that meant forgetting about pace and time and all things training. I could have run forever. Today was the final 'long' run before the HM next week - and wouldn't you know it I was totally revved and ready to go, and yet had to hold back. Wouldn't you know it -. Anyway, I ...

Running Bubby: January 2011
http://runningbubby.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
The ramblings and musings of a running Grandma. Friday, January 28, 2011. Just finished week 2 training for two upcoming Half Marathons: Jerusalem on the 24th of March and Tel Aviv on the 8th of April. I finally had a good running week putting in a total of 52 km this week, ending with today's 17 km long run. I have a problem though - I'm running too fast. This is really frustrating considering all those very long runs of 24,26, 29 and 32 I put in and pretty much felt the same afterwards. 11km - 7 x 800's.

I got up at 3 am one morning because I had SO much to do during the day and needed the extra time. I spent the entire next day reading a book and accomplished nothing else. Aside from the but...
