I am ever grateful to my wonderful wife, and two beautiful daughters for sparing me these next 7 days. Ramblings, that's all. A Day in the Mountains. All Good Things →. August 1, 2013. The ridge overlook was amazing, there were eagles soaring around, and mountain goats on the peak to the south. To the east was a beautiful basin filled with streams and green. As we ran down into the basin we were off any established trails. As I waited for my borrowed luggage to come around, I realized I hadn’t given much thought to what it actually looked like. There were easily 4 others that were nearly identical. I was spending some time in the Finger Lakes, and took advantage of the opportunity to sink in a solid training run.
