Cardiff HM Training Diary – Week 4. 8220;When you are content to simply be yourself and don’t compare or compete, everyone will respect you”. Fields of gold, makes a change from the concrete of London! After some soul searching, I realised that my problems (the mental ones at least) have stemmed from my (ab)use of social media. I’d start every day by scrolling my Instagram. And no ph...

The view from our hotel room. The next day we did the majority of our sightseeing so that we could relax a little during the re...

Running On Purpose

Monday, July 30, 2012. Angsty posts are better than no posts, right? After the awesome high of Ragnar Northwest Passage Relay the weekend before last (which of course, I haven't posted about) there was last Saturday, which was the Wildwood Trail Half Marathon in Forest Park. Gorgeous day. Gorgeous course. Felt well-hydrated and energetic, ready to run. What could possibly go wrong? Hard Again my left knee got the impact as well, this time there was missing skin but amazingly enough, it wasn't bleeding.

Dill… Is there any flavour that’s more delicious? NOPE I can make countless dill-flavoured dishes and never be sick of it, literally. My newest creation is dill-pickle french fries… yes, I said french fries! This 2 am kitchen creation is a keeper in my eyes! Maybe I should be experimenting at this time more often… or maybe I should just start getting some sleep…. 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil. 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar. 1 cup fresh dill. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon mustard powder.
