Rushby's Railways

Wednesday, 8 July 2015. It looks like my strategy of putting the layout blogs in suspended animation has worked, at least as far as Morfa is concerned. Also added into the mix was a dredged up memory of covering the basic landmass with dyed flannelette sheeting. This combined with the sticky balls has led to rapid progress, which has buoyed up my enthusiasm to the point where progress has been close to full tilt. Have a few photos. Thursday, 5 March 2015. The kiss of death. I also won't be adding to them.

http://rushbys-railways.blogspot.com/2014/04/reality-and-fantasy.html

Sunday, 20 April 2014. Mutually exclusive terms I hear you say. Well I'm not so sure; let me explain . First of all it is great to see activity on your blogs again. i always find what you get up to inspiring ever since seeing the first photos of Shell Island. Not sure if youve come across the Emett Society http:/ www.rowlandemett.com/ but there is a big exhibition of his work opening in Birmingham soon. 21 April 2014 at 01:48. 21 April 2014 at 08:16. http://rushbys-railways.blogspot.com/2013/09/middle-of-road.html

Saturday, 28 September 2013. Middle of the road. Although Ive always had a superficial interest in trams, its only been in the last year that Ive actually done any modelling of them.I think you saw the tram kits I picked up from the exhibition at Machynlleth (thanks for an excellent show by the way! At the moment wherever I go I seem to come across a tram book or two.not got this one (yet! See you in another year or so,. 29 September 2013 at 14:00. I agree with Siomn. O9 Modeller: A few bits and bobs left over... (in honour of Dave Lister)

http://o9modeller.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-few-bits-and-bobs-left-over-in-honour.html

Railway modelling in 7mm scale on 9mm gauge track, representing 15" gauge miniature railways and 18" gauge industrial railways. (Plus anything else that I choose to include! Sunday, 31 May 2015. A few bits and bobs left over. (in honour of Dave Lister). There's a few bits and bobs left over, but its always the same when you do a bit of do-it-yourself, isn't it? Wise words from the guy who mended the Chicken Soup machine on the 'Red Dwarf'. Having put all the parts to one side, on re-examination I decided...

http://4mmscaleagonies.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

The trials and tribulations of building a 4mm scale model railway layout. Sunday, September 12, 2010. Yes, that's right. A model Railway exhibition report. A British model railway exhibition report to boot! So to the show. Even though it was in a smallish hall, the organisers fitted 13 layouts in there and as many trade stands. Every layout had something to recommend it, from N scale to O scale. All the layouts were well finished and presented. Even my American wife mentioned this fact. 2 Winterschlaf (0...

The trials and tribulations of building a 4mm scale model railway layout. Friday, August 21, 2009. Blimey. Jeepers. Golly. Scalefour News arrived today. I have to admit I was rather puzzled when I picked up the brown envelope. There was something different. It was thicker. More robust. I thought. "Something's going on here." I wasn't even sure that it was the News for a moment. However that fear was dispelled as soon as I opened the envelope. It was a double bumper issue! Just what am I missing? I have s...

4mm scale agonies: December 2009

http://4mmscaleagonies.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

The trials and tribulations of building a 4mm scale model railway layout. Thursday, December 31, 2009. With the old year drawing to a close and a new one appearing over the horizon, it is customary to offer up some sort of resolution. Something to do in the new year. So I might as well jump on the bandwagon, even though it is probably very full with well meaning overweight, unfit, smokers etc: and offer up something. Monday, December 28, 2009. Take a read of it and tell me if you think that if a British ...

The trials and tribulations of building a 4mm scale model railway layout. Friday, July 31, 2009. Been somewhat quiet on the update front of late. Mileage is starting to ramp up for my next marathon. So that takes priority. Also today a slight cause for concern. I finally dismantled my Wold Farm Mushrooms. Tuesday, July 21, 2009. As the world spins. Perhaps it was yesterday's stunning England victory over Australia at Lords. Perhaps it was the fact that while I've been working on assembling the Scales...

http://4mmscaleagonies.blogspot.com/2010/05/its-time.html

The trials and tribulations of building a 4mm scale model railway layout. Friday, May 7, 2010. To do something. Don't you think? It's not that I haven't been busy railway modelling. I took my H0 scale layout. To a local show and was very well received. I've been dabbling in T scale still. On top of that I bought myself a new camera. While I was working on some T scale stuff I became aware of the UK outline kits and bits that are being produced in T scale including a Deltic. My T gauge blog. Trainspotter-...

Rushby's Rants and Reviews

Rushby's Rants and Reviews. Monday, 13 January 2014. Magic of Thieves: Legend of Dimmingwood book 1 - C Greenwood. I have been a bit remiss with my blog posts of late, once again due to the lack of time to read during my teacher training year. That said, I did get time to read a fair bit over Christmas but failed to update due to lack of anything regarding motivation. January has rolled around and so has the guilt. Links to other suppliers. Welcome to Rushby's Resins. Rushby's Resins is a small volume, short run supplier of resin kits for 009/HOe. I choose prototypes which appeal to me, that I'd like multiples of and where I can see little likelihood of them being the target of the professional and semi professional kit manufacturers. 1st batch -Sold Out. 2nd Batch - in production. I should point out that I have some reservations about the Tsugawa chassis which I have detailed here. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
