We'd had a lazy day getting things ready for the evening which always help our creativity when putting a food together I think! Knit One Purl One. Tuesday, 26 June 2012. An allotment supper of creamy pea and bacon pasta. We had a lovely GU supper courtesy of our allotment in part; very simple and very tasty. I'm pleased to say that my efforts in weeding the strawberry patch have paid off too! We started with a creamy bacon and pea pasta dish (serves 2). Pasta - enough for 2. Bacon, 5 rashers, grilled. Peas - a decent handful. Lemon juice approx. dessert spoon. Chilli flakes 1/2-1 tsp and/or crushed clove of garlic (optional).

We started off with some baking sessions which worked a treat. First off, banana muffins which worked well as a breakfast treat and then some rather special blackberry and chocolate chunk muffins. This invariably leads to an excess of food and drink but you won't hear me complaining! Knit One Purl One. Tuesday, 18 December 2012. I've put my baking head on recently. It's not something I've really done in a very long time (except for the odd 5 minute mug cake but more of that another time! And I am constantly surprising myself with just how easy it is, not to mention how satisfying. I have to admit the main reason I don't bake is becaused then I would have to eat all those lovely muffins, pies and puddings but ah well, it is Christmas! 3 1/2 oz of butter. 2-3 tbspn very cold water.
