Thursday, September 30, 2010. Lexi's bigger girl bed. A few days ago I went to go get Lexi out of her crib in the morning when I heard she was up and was quite surprised to find her standing at the door! I'm hoping it will get a little easier each night. Wednesday, September 1, 2010. This is one I've had up on a shelf since she was born but never thought to let her play with it before. Now every time we go in her room she points up at it and wants me to get it down. We made our first tent!

Thursday, January 20, 2011. Time is flying by! I know 2 weeks isn't really that long, but it's just that it feels like it was yesterday that we brought Carter home from the hospital. Why can't they stay little for longer? He is the sweetest little boy! I think they are a dark blue, but I've heard all babies have blue eyes at first. He is sleeping pretty well at night. Sometimes he still wakes up every 3 hours, but has started giving me 5-6 hour stretches. Wednesday, January 12, 2011.

Tuesday, August 24, 2010. There's a Mr. in my tummy! I just had my second ultrasound yesterday and found out we are having a boy! Even though I've had the feeling it was a boy, I went to the appointment really hoping for another girl. I thought with these 2 being only 17 months apart, it would be nice for them to be the same sex so they could hopefully be good friends. Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Canning with Weck Jars. One of my first projects was to can pineapple. If you're bored with this post already, you don't have to keep reading but I thought I'd explain the process a little. First, I cut the eyes out of the pineapple in a diagonal shape. This allowed me to keep more of the meat portion of the fruit. Next I cut out the core, chopped it into pieces and put it aside. Then chopped up the fruit and put it in a larger bowl. Then I filled the jars tightly with the fruit.

Nathan taught me some 3-D modeling he learned in one of his classes. Of course, I use the cheapest version there is while Nathan got the nearly $4000 Maya program from school for free.
