I don’t know the answer to that question, but I do know that I do want to come back to Saboba. As I’m writing this post in Kumasi the day after, I already miss rural northern Ghana. I miss Saboba. I went to bed around 11pm in anticipation of am early start in the morning. I put the extra back into the fridge. After playing some solitaire on my computer and reading a little bit I went to bed. Bob prepared a lunch of tuna/pasta salad and then I felt a little tired so I took a rest. I read some more National Geographics including one that tried to reveal the “true Herod”. The article amuses me in how much it is slanted against anything Biblical. The author suggests that Herod is probably entirely innocent of the bloodshed that he ordered in the gospel in Matthew. The guard at the Hotel de Jet called me Liverpool while we stayed there because I told him I supported them when we were talking football. Almost everyone in Ghana either supports Manchester United or Chelsea FC.(I know Alex, what’s up with that? A lot of Ghanaians like Chelsea because Michael Essien is a Ghanaian who plays for Chelsea. But she did not scream, cry or whimper once. And no anesthesia! She had a beautiful baby boy and she asked Katie to give him a Christian name. Nick suggested the name Noah and so it was! The mother loved it. It was really fun to be a part of the whole experience and that amazing gift of life entering the world. Then we had a quick photo-op with the placenta. Gross, I know. Ghana Summer 2010: Day 35-36 7/19-7/20

Today I woke up to the knocking of Bob and the question, “are ya ready to go? It took us only a little over an hour to get to Yendi where we refueled. You don’t get “gas” here you go to get “fuel”. Besides, Bob’s South African Nissan lorry is a diesel anyway. We bought some eggs from their egg lady and then headed on down the dirt road to Saboba which took another hour or so. My knee killed me cramped in the car. I missed the delivery! Thanks everyone for your constant prayers and concerns. God bless!
