I just wanted to sleep. It’s on days like this, that I want to weep, be negative and take it out on everyone around me. Poor Mark. That magical month between the glorious July of summer and the autumn tones of chilly September. We packed our July so full I didn’t have time to catorgize all the memories but they are stored safe and sound in my heart. Hot showers, bathrooms, and a laundry made it very comfy and the all night rain was actually nearly as delightful music as a lullaby. That’s serious stuff :).

I lay this morning in that quietness between sleep and fully awake and I held as still as possible and willed myself to stay there. I had been dreaming of my daughter, and I was holding her again. There was a deep deep peace in my dream and it should not have been there. When do you feel deep peace in a hospital room with a critically ill child? My words are so tiny and course to describe that epiphany.
