I got a phone call today from Summit Academy High School. Which is a school I interviewed with last week, offering me a job! Yes, as the school counselor - LOL. I am so excited! I start in August. Friday, September 2, 2011. First week on the job. I just started my new job at Summit Academy High School. I'm feeling completely overwhelmed, as anyone does the first week on the job. I have so much to learn! I'm seeing what kind of disadvantage I have with having my training in another state. I need to learn a new set of graduation requirements and a different student information system. Utah has it's own Comprehensive Counseling and Guidance Program, which is also new to me. Yikes! SAHS holds many fundraising events throughout the year to support their musuem. Annual Chicken Barbecues, Reminiscences Days, Garage Sales and more!
