The sailing blog of the sloop Galatea in her voyages along the southern coast of New England. May 17th, 2014. Galatea hit the water this week! The picture above was taken from the boat launch on approaching the boat for the first time. I spent the afternoon getting her ready for sea. Couldn’t put the sails on, the winds were too strong. But I was able to put the dodger up, get the engine started, secure the batteries, and the 100 other things that needed doing. Posted in General Interest. May 17th, 2014.
